from clay: nope clay a 2 seat f-16 is just a diffrent model designation (b or d) not block. the avionics are the same..... alan, a flameout (stall) would possibly cause them to eject, pretty much anything that renders the plane non landable on the runway is going to have a pilot ejecting from a f-16.... my guess is it might of been an ingestion of a bird into the engine. only way that a pilot probly wouldn't eject right away was if they needed to try and fly the plane away from a populated area...... even withought the engine running the emergancy power unit will provide electric and hydraulic power for 5-10 minutes....... just no thrust.... was a f-16 crew chief for 6 years in the u.s. air force.. on block 40 and block 52 s ...... craftman (7lvl) skilllevel. and have had one 1.5 hour flight....... very fun, but i would of rather had the money that it cost to buy 1,500 gallons of jp-8 to go make some skydives with..... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
