"And all that?" he finished and looked over at Pooh with a hopeful look. Pooh Bear rubbed his nose too, but didn't find it quite as comforting as it seemed to be for the Piglet. "Well, Piglet." Pooh said and then stopped to think some more, for this was a very Big Thing for a Bear of Very Little Brain to consider. "Well Piglet," he finally continued, "It all sounds like a very silly idea to me." Pooh and Piglet looked out over the Hundred Acre Wood and contemplated the matter. Quietly, Piglet slipped his paw into Pooh's. "We're totally fucked, aren't we?" the Piglet managed in a hoarse whisper. "Oh yes." replied Pooh, patting his paw. "Completely fucked."

I made a wood copy of the Burton quick lace handle to use with a standard pullup cord. The price was a lot better at 0$ than the PUCA tool considering I lost it on the first day. If you make your own, paint it bright orange The Burton handle goes for 17$ for 2.

Saw it for the first time at SDC Summerfest last week. Rock Skymarket store had them. Haven't tried it yet (don't pack my own when on vacation), but the person I saw using it said it's a lot better.

The 2nd is blatantly in direct response to a concern that George/the other George/the other-other George or Edward/the other Edward or William or Vic or Liz, or whoever they're called in the future (because it's not likely Charlie-boy will adopt Charles on accession given we made the last one about a foot shorter during his reign) will come over and want their colonies back... which, let's face it, just isn't going to happen! It's got zero to do with domestic governance and everything to do with a contemporary concern about outside aggression, which in today's world is just stupid.

There was an event in California today that is one of the ONLY possible argument for public carry guns that I can see. A guy with two machetes ran amok and killed 4 people. I’ll concede that in a more gun-toting state he might have been stopped sooner. But then maybe he’d have used a assault rifle instead and killed 30 people instead of 4 because it was easier to get hold of a gun there... we’ll never know. Regardless, I’m much more confident in my ability to outrun a guy with a knife than a bullet. Or even fight back unarmed, if it came to that.

Hrmmm, could be, I'm honestly not sure... I've only been there during boogies and events (our club has their pre-season boogie there every year). Their website says they're open 7/7, but it very well could be that during the low season, there's not much going up during the week.
