Part of the problem in the UK is caused by the deliberate conflation of the terms "refugee" and "immigrant". Immigrants, including those Brits currently living and working in Spain (particularly Benidorm) generally move legally to the foreign country, often having a job waiting for them when they arrive (eg: Chinese workers arriving in the US to work in laundries and Chinese restaurants). Refugees on the other hand are defined as "someone who has been forced to flee his or her country because of persecution, war or violence. A refugee has a well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership in a particular social group. Most likely, they cannot return home or are afraid to do so. War and ethnic, tribal and religious violence are leading causes of refugees fleeing their countries." The vast majority of people attempting to reach the UK are people displaced by UK aided military action in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen. If we insist on exporting weapons to known human rights abusing regimes, we shouldn't complain about importing the end product - refugees.

As a doctor I know it's not a requirement for commiting suicide to have a mental lapse or mental condition. It is usually situational and like a crime can be executed by anyone at anytime. To think you are gonna prevent that from occurring is as naive as thinking banning guns will stop gun mass crimes. The USPA is an amazing organization and they're always concerned with how can they help and.prevent this sort of thing. It's just not possible so let's wake up here!

Everything is way too big. Degeneration already mentioned the time it takes to scroll down the list of forums (mobile or desktop). The forum topic list and the topic thread are also too large. I would love to see a more visually condensed version or have the option for such.

To be perfectly honest, get whatever you can in the 1:1 ish range that's used and cheap since you're going to want to swap it out after one season. Exit weight of 190 so you'll probably settle into a 150 in a few years.

George F. Will (impeccable conservative), Jan 19, 2019: It must be misery to awaken to another day of being Donald Trump. He seems to have as many friends as his pluperfect self-centeredness allows, and as he has earned in an entirely transactional life. His historical ignorance deprives him of the satisfaction of working in a house where much magnificent history has been made. His childlike ignorance — preserved by a lifetime of single-minded self-promotion — concerning governance and economics guarantees that whenever he must interact with experienced and accomplished people, he is as bewildered as a kindergartener at a seminar on string theory. Which is why this fountain of self-refuting boasts (“I have a very good brain”) lies so much. He does so less to deceive anyone than to reassure himself. And as balm for his base, which remains oblivious to his likely contempt for them as sheep who can be effortlessly gulled by preposterous fictions. The tungsten strength of his supporters’ loyalty is as impressive as his indifference to expanding their numbers.

Far too much space between each forum on the main forum listings page on desktop. It is 4 full screen heights to go from top to the bottom of the page. That's a lot of scrolling. The number of topics and posts should be on one line, and the massive amount of white space above and below the forum name should be reduced significantly. Seriously, scrolling down 4 page heights to get to the forums at the bottom is ridiculous! Notably reducing the amount of white space should easily get that down to two or less, and if you only do that for desktop viewers, that shouldn't affect your mobile audience.

Well, it's a fear that has a small amount of legitimacy, then overinflated with xenophobia, racism and lies. For instance in a positively Trumpian move, here's Boris Johnson being caught flat out lying about things he didn't just say but actually wrote down in black and white during the referendum. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46926119 (If Rush genuinely dislikes the 'political elite' he should be all over this. An overprivileged Eton toff who was a leading light of austerity politics convincing ordinary people that it's actually the Turk's fault they don't have as much money as they used to. Underneath the affable, buffoonish act old BoJo really is a despicable man, IMO.)

I'm not sure you can be a tester with this being your first post. But with that said, if you're going to provide feedback, we'd appreciate you describing your complaints, as saying "It sucks" doesn't really assist anyone.

The new forums do not appear to take me to the first unread post in a thread, as before. They all point to the first post in a thread.

And I tried to edit my previous post, made 3 minutes ago, and it told me that too much time had expired and I couldn't edit it, then the forum froze. I had to exit forums and re-enter to bring it back to life. I wanted to add that a "Mark this thread read" button would be nice, since the new system seems to have erased all record of which posts I have read.

What do I remember about Ernie Butler? In 1992 at Skydive Snohomish I was going through that "baptism of fear", where I had just arrived at the dropzone's parking lot and was just sitting inside my car rationalizing why I should even continue to "learn" how to skydive, this after only a few student jumps. Skydiving scares me!!! Why skydive??! And along comes Ernie. He sees me in the parking lot. He comes over to my car and encourages me, saying that it will all turn out OK. That day I jumped... and I still do. I will always remember Ernie for that moment. Thank you! May God bless you, Ernie!
