Are there any celebreties that skydive?

I know Andy roddick has just taken it up, and didnt I read somewhere someone refused Tom Cruise a reserve repack?

Anyway, just wondered if anyone else does. I dont mean 1 off tandems or aff (like Gearge Bush Sr), I mean people qualified and turn up every now and again to hurl their heavily insured arses out of a plane.

Oh, anyone know if Simon Thomas (blue peter presenter, probably wont mean anything to you yanks) has returned to complete his AFF after he got really paralysed with fear after 6 AFF jumps.

Any idea how far he is? Only on the TV special he got to level 3. Lucky bastard gets paid to go to america and then bottle it grr.. (Not dissing him, the fear is not a good thing to have)

Does he have a camera crew around looking like they're gonna make a special on him completing it?

Well we all have our sticking points. I did 20 s/l and about 10 3/5s delays.

Andy Roddick was just at my drop zone the other day with his coach. They were both doing tandems . Only one jumper even knew who he was and he told her that he was surprised that no one else recognized him. Pretty funny.

I've also heard that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman each have an A license.

these german guys also had a politician.. but he commited suicide (no cypres, no pull) the day his immunities had been suspended...

Stephen Baldwin and Tom Berenger both got their A licenses while filming "Cutaway." They were published in Parachutists right along with us regluar folks! LOL I don't know if either of them continued with it, but they did well enough that they were able to perform some of their own jumps in the movie.

I've seen Kurt Russell at Perris a few times, years ago, but he wasn't jumping. I sat with him for a bit after he saw me take some students up and he wanted to ask some questions.

It seemed he just liked to watch the action, but he did add, with a smile, "I like it here, you folks are so full of yourselves no one pays any attention to me."

It made me realize the dark side of being a celebrity . . .
