He had a few tandem chops, but none on his sport rig(s). As far as I remember, he's the only one to make it to 10 grand chop free. I remember 2 things he said in the article which seem to contradict each other. He said he takes a fix-it-before-it-breaks attitude toward his gear. I remember when Egon at The Relative Workshop had 2 tandem chops one after the other one Saturday morning... I told the students that he's had more chops than they have jumps, that morning only !!! Oddly, it was a broken control line on a beat up Sabre 150 and he could have easilly landed it, but needed a chop for his upcoming tandem course. Neal works at CrossKeys these days.
