***How come "white power" graffiti doesn't make the news?

Media bias probably. But where I am, every time the KKK is accused of distributing flyers, it always makes the news. :S

Sorry, of course it does. But Ron doesn't post about it.

it does around here. It's far less likely to get a free pass than the BLM or By Any Means Necessary type groups racism.

That said...white supremacist fliers aren't "news." There have been people printing those stupid fliers about black monkeys and jews for decades. But the parts of the country in which they can openly express their views continues to shrink. It's hard to attack blacks directly (have to use euphemisms like 'thug') or Jews, and its becoming unacceptable to attack gays. Transgenders are still fair game, unfortunately.

I don't worry about Central FL Rednecks. However, those Tampa inner city thugs are reason to be cautious. I avoid their territory unless it is necessary and then, I walk softly and carry a concealed pistol.

***No, the primary motivation was to get away from liberals and Muslims.

Well, how "Christian" of you.

I find those remarks simply naive. Are you aware that both Jesus and Paul avoided areas of danger where they were hated?

Clearly not all of them. ;)

Jesus was pretty clear that if you shun people because you hate them (or they hate you) you're not really all that in line with what he taught. In fact, if you get in their face and are persecuted, you're going to heaven. And if they fight back - let them win.

"Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word: "Your brothers who hate you, who exclude you for My name's sake, Have said, 'Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy.' But they will be put to shame."

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

"Love your neighbor as yourself"

"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

>BTW, Jesus Christ was/is not a socialist.

Sure sounds like he was a socialist far more than he was a capitalist.

"Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that will come upon you. Your wealth will rot, and moths will eat your clothes. For your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You who have hoarded wealth in the last days!"

"How terrible for you who are rich now, for you have had your easy life and will get no more."

"But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just."

"In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves and other sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables."

“If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me."

What are you afraid of?

A liberal might bring you a double pumpkin spice latte and some kale chips and a Muslim might make you some Nargisi Koftay and tea.

With liberals it is fear of my temper. I had to work with them the last several years of my employment. They are not the kind of people I care to be around on a regular basis in my retirement. Maybe it is simply disgust.

With Muslims it is fear. When I see them I go into survival mode. My senses start tuning in and I start listening for Allahu Akbar. It is an unnecessary distraction I choose not to have.

Both groups can be reduced to individuals and one on one is a different situation. But I want to avoid them when I am outnumbered.

I am more comfortable around folks in my age group, that are Christian, that may be in recovery and served in the military during the Vietnam War years. In other words, we have things in common. Right now preparation for SHTF is a regular discussion topic over coffee.

I am involved in two Christian veteran groups and we are focusing on the homeless and the suicidal.

In the people group called Christian there are believers, unbelievers and make believers. They all go to church, at least some of the time.

Not all believers are true disciples. A true disciple listens to the Holy Spirit.

The message of the true disciple is that Jesus Christ is that He is the way, the truth and the life. No one will enter eternal life with accepting Him.

You do know that muslims believe in Jesus Christ too, right?

Not as the Son of God, not as the Savior.
