Well, the story calls the charge "possession of a firearm by a prohibited person".

That sounds like a separate situation from the drugs.

Any felony conviction, or misdemeanor domestic violence conviction will put someone in that class. Some states include involuntary commitment for mental health too.

I would think that if it was a probation violation, it would be worded differently too.

I have never watched the show, So have no base point of this guys inteligence. But at What point do we draw the line? What level of IQ do you have to have to enjoy Constituitonal rights?

Sometimes I say someone is too stoopid to live. When I do, I don't really mean they should not be allowed to live. I'm just making a smart ass observation. I interpret Phillbo's post that way. He is not really making a legal argument about who should have 2nd amendment rights. He's commenting how he perceives a TV character.
