I've never seen the show so I don't know anything about it. However, employers can have rules. And if A&E has a policy against running your mouth off against gays, then the dude broke the rules.

PJ O'Rourke summed it up: There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences.
