DiverMike 5 #26 April 9, 2013 I don't believe in taking children away from parents, but what is the guvmint anyway other than on big expensive Nanny we can't really fire? I don't have an answer to this one. It is cheaper to provide welfare than to imprison, so in my opinion it is the lesser of two evils given I am one of the taxpayers footing the bill. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.

Are you saying we need guns to protect ourselves from fringe lunatics like Alex Jones? Or are you saying we need to shoot people who work for MSNBC because we don't like what they say? And who is this "we" you speak of?Onward and Upward!
CanuckInUSA 0 #28 April 9, 2013 Make no mistake society is in a flat spin and we are getting awful close to the ground with no sign of being able to stop the stall. The problem with socialism is it's great until you run out of other people's money to spend. As wealthy as nations like the USA and Canada are compared to most other nations in the world, there simply is not enough resources to pay for the Culture of Entitlement we are witnessing now. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

OHCHUTE 0 #32 April 10, 2013 Who's kid are we talking about? My kids are my kids and no one else's. Why? Since their births, we've paid for everything including Day Care Books Backpacks Sporting equipment Sports fees Piano and guitar lessons Ballet OH the computers and games Bicycles Skis Snow Boards, skate boards Cloths Food College Tuitions Auto Insurance Auto Fuel at times Braces Glasses Use of automobiles ETc Now, there are some who have kids and get all that stuff paid for. From when the kids get up until they go to bed. Now those kids, might be owned. But my kids are my kids. We paid for it. They're ours.

I'll confess I hadn't actually watched the video til now, just the reactions. Fuck. Me. She advocates everyone within a community - this could just be your neighbourhood - taking responsibility for each other. You see someone else being a blatantly shitty parent? Call them out on it. Don't bury your head in the sand. How the fuck people made the jump to "the marxist commie kenyan gubbmint wants to steal your children for their NWO slave camps" is fucking beyond me...You are playing chicken with a planet - you can't dodge and planets don't blink. Act accordingly.

And to a much lesser degree, his grandparents and aunts and uncles. He is also his own person, and as he grows, he will become more and more of his own person. >Since their births, we've paid for everything including . . . . Really? Our son has a pile of toys from friends and family. He rides his scooter on a sidewalk we didn't pay for. >But my kids are my kids. We paid for it. They're ours. I don't think paying for a person grants you ownership. (If that's true, you belong to the company you work for. They paid for you; you are theirs.)
