Paintball

Do any of you own paintball guns? Or have you played?

Last weekend when the winds got too high to jump, we all played paintball out in the woods for about 4 hours. God it was fun, nothing like putting welts on the legs of your friends....

But anyway I went out and bought a Tippmann 98 custom. This thing shoots straight as an arrow...

Don't own one. I've always rented 'cause the people I play paintball with want us to keep the odds even. :D

Play it a couple of times a year. The last time I played was a work outting. Nothing like getting the opportunity to shoot your co-workers. :D

when i was at zhills, the winds where too high to jump so we went and played paint ball. i had never played before, and it was a lot of fun. other than i didn't have a mask, just googles (not skydiving googles) and i got hit in the face from about 10 (maybe less) feet away. cut me open, and all that good stuff, and now i have a nice round scar from it.

but hey, i'll play again, but not until i get a mask :S;)

We had a works outing some years back to play Paintball. The play area was inside a two tier converted warehouse. Even though I was wearing goggles I got shot right in the eyes. Some of the paint must have filtered through becase my eyes were stinging for about 20 minutes after.:S

I can't. I suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and struggle to tell the difference between fantasy and reality in a conflict situation. I set traps and try to kill people who are after me - or ones I think are after me.

I had two guns when I started skydiving almost three years ago. One was a Shocker and the other was a very, very tricked-out Autococker that I built. 225 psi operating pressure for 300fps. Shhwwweeet. I played quite a bit until I started skydiving, both for fun and on a team.

I sold the shocker and mostly funded a canopy with the proceeds. I traded the autococker for a pair of stainless Mini-14 ranch guns. Having played "army" for real, I found that I enjoyed airsmithing and building the guns (built five A/Cs and two Shockers all tolled) way more than running around in the woods flinging paint at my friends.

There's just no tangible consequence in paintball. You get hit, you go sit down. It pales in comparison to a shit-hot 180 front riser carve into a 130ft surf after a sweet freefly jump with the other kids.

It's a lot of fun but I only ever play with a group of friends and rented equipment. The people who go every weekend and have equipment that costs thousands of dollars freak me out. They kind of have the same mentality skydivers do but they're 18 and can't get laid. Wait, I know a guy called Freakous who's like that, except he's like 39 or something.

I used to play all the time before I moved and started skydiving. I Still have my Spyder Compact with a 200 round hopper and a 20oz tank on a coil hose. Looking to get rid of it actually.

I used to be pretty hard core into paint ball.

I have Spyder setup with an All-American 16" rifled barrel and a Bob Long Cyclone II bolt. Basically, I have it setup for long range sniper action. (outlaw ball, not field ball).

I haven't played in atleast 3 years and haven't played seriously in probably 5 years...I'm really itching to go play again, though.

I've played a number of times. I let my son give me his Tippman Pro-lite to pay off a debt :)

Yea, but when there is overcast skys and 25mph winds, there ain't much shit-hot 180 front riser carve into a 130ft surf going on. But you can still shoot your friends with a paintball.

That THING is fucking ridiculous. I can't believe someone would actually pay for something that expensive to play a game in the woods. Not that skydiving is any more productive in the big picture...

But, seeing that, I want nothing more than to have one so that I can wait outside my friends' houses no wait, my enemies' houses too..
