Something you learned from DZ.com

Recommended Posts

Know what? I've learned so very many things here there'd be no start and no end.

Some applied to skydiving, some applied to life, some applied to me as a woman, some applied to me as a human being. Some were fun and easy lessons, some came with many tears and oodles of frustration. Most had immense value. Some had very little...but there was still some value in them at the end of the day.

For all who contribute, thanks...I appreciate it.

Michele

BTW

I learned to never argue with BV.

(I haven't yet, but I can tell it would be futile)

I would have to agree with you on that one. I read some of his reply's today to certain threads and just about fainted when he made ALOT of sense. (I won't tell him that though);)

You live-you learn

What's one thing you learned of value from this forum?

I have also learned there are some really cool people that skydive. Unlike another place we can get skydiving info, most of the people on dz.com really want to help people learn without berating or belittling them. People stop asking questions when they are made to feel "dumb", and that's when people get hurt.

We were all students at some point. Keep the information flowing.:)

that being a virgin is ok dispite all the jokes you guys throw at me.

That you can come to know someone so well on the interenet that when you meet in person you feel like you have known them for ages!

That skydivers are probly the most giving and helpfull people on the planet. They will let you borrow something thats worth several thousand dollars and jump out of a plane with it!

This website is very addictive and can take all of your time.

Actually meeting many of the people here forces one to be less of an e-assh*le.

There are real faces behind every avatar, we are everywhere and so I'm not a stranger on almost any DZ.

I even sat on HH's motorcycle once.

That's something else. HH does this internet thing really good, but don't let that mislead you. If you ever shook his hand, you'd know he's got the hands of a machinist.

I've learned that there are real interesting differences between internet personae and the real thing.

It's neat.

I have learned a lot of things, can't narrow it down to just one....

New York is full of perverted men.
Don't piss of people that live in TX.
All people named Justin are cuties.
Cute girls are bitchy and hate all other girls.
JT and Wingnut have never heard of spell check.
Skymama wears thongs.
Chuckie's favorite colors are blue and orange.
Jessica knows all kinds of words that most people have never heard of.
Viking likes to pick up chicks by asking them what their favorite salad dressing is.
