Came with bench seats and an 8 track. I would go to garage sales and buy 8 track tapes for a quarter. My back seat was loaded with about 50 8 tracks. I wish we still had 8 tracks. RevJim 0 #79 January 20, 2004 QuoteOK Mocha, just how old/young are you? 'Cuda' is cool for "Barracuda". Better? Close there Duecy woosey! Barracuda is the pre 1970 Plymouth, or the fish. 'Cuda is the E body Plymouth, made from 1970 to 1974, the most desirable vintage being that of 1971, with a rag top, and a fire breathing Hemi under the shaker hood. I had to settle for '72, with the original 340 Slap Stik shifter, which promptly decided that the side of the block was a good location for an exiting connecting rod cap. It was shortly thereafter replaced by a '68 vintage 440 (hp block). I really, really miss that car. p.s. Anyone want a '68 Plymouth GTX, complete with 71 vintage 440 (w/6 bbl setup), and an Arizona rust free GTX body (shell)? My father is looking for a 1200 Sportster to trade it for. Personally, I'm looking for a cheap 1200 Sportster to buy, so I can end up with the GTX. It's your life, live it! Deuce 1 #80 January 20, 2004 OK, I'm cleaning out my home office and finding all kinds of stuff I haven't seen since we moved here. Here's car one. The Rabbit, more avocado than lime. Car two lasted just a couple of days. More proof that God will not let me die dramatically, but will have me drown in a gutter. And me during the Rabbit era. Funny, funny stuff (to me anyhow)

Pick 0 #83 January 20, 2004 My first car was a '71 Dart and a '72 Duster that both donated enough parts to make one car that was semi-road-worthy. The end-result resembled a dark green Duster with slant 6 "power". (I still despise green cars......)
Viking 0 #84 January 20, 2004 First Car was an 85 Mercury Grand Marquis. Big gas guzzling tank of a car. I called it the M1 b/c it was painted desert tan. Sheenster303 0 #94 January 20, 2004 QuoteA white 1989 Mercury Topaz with red interior and 130,000 miles on it. It had a radio in it, too. No tape player or CD player, but a radio. It was passed down to me from my dad, who had bought it used himself several years prior. Who says GA is filled with rednecks? Kelly No shit, Kel. That's exactly what my first car was too! Except it was a white 88 Mercury Topaz with red interior. Same thing only a year older. Piece of crap I tell ya. I got one little dent in it from my first ever car accident and it totalled the whole thing. It was worth an entire 1600 dollars! WOOHOO!I'm so funny I crack my head open! ZoneRat 0 #100 January 20, 2004 '56 Studebaker Powerhawk. Had a hole in the passenger floorboard a tennisball could damn near fall through. You could see the street passin' by. To annoy my friends I would occasionally go out of my way to hit any puddles that might be in the street. If I hit it just right, the water'd come up through that hole right onto their lap. Steering wheel the size of a man-hole cover... with 4 inches of play. At Texas Tech, I'd park it on 19th street across from the university. More than once we had hard rains that would flood the streets. I remember the pedals (and my feet) being sumberged in cold-ass rainwater as I made my way home.... Lost control of it turning onto a dirt road a bit too fast. Hit a ditch then a telephone pole... and a barbed wire fence just the other side of it. That was the end of that. Loved that shitti-ass car...“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”
