skyesspot 0 #1 May 24, 2004 I was more torn from the side by my AFF instructor. Yes, I did my Level 1 AFF jump today. And while I did let go of the plane, I didn't turn into the wind, so Vic pulled me off the plane. Other than looking at my altimeter and SHIT the needle is on the wrong side of the 6 (it was on the 5 by the time I actually saw what I was looking at) and the fact that after my canopy opened and I was like "WHEW, I made it." And then O SHIT, my toggles, I still have to steer. They said I did really well. They did say I have a fast fall rate (guess I need to lose some more weight ) I PASSED!! MAJOR THANKS to Chopchop for my video and to vschoor for being there for support. But the most thanks goes to my huney (lummy) for being my inspiration and my constant little voice letting me know I could do it. Relax when you climb out and make your count like a rhythm so you and your Instructors leave the plane together. Good body movement too will help them see your count for a good clean exit. I'm sure your not the first one they have pulled off. Now have Gary get his coach rating so he can do the rest of your training jumps after your released from Instructor supervision.
