would you ever use a hooker?

Recommended Posts

Ya know what I find hilarious about this thread. I think America and Canada are the only two countries in the world that place such a stigma on prostitution. In quite a few European countries it's a regulated industry. It's a regularly accepted part of life in Mexico, South America, Central America, Most Asian countries, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. :S

You got a great point there. Just think of how many of us have been at the the bar drunk and end up going home with some sperm bucket, askes you for your # before you leave with the old "I usually would never do this, there is something special about you"
Fact is you used a condom and she might have had more guys is the last month than the call girl. Personally, been tempted out on the road, but for some reason we as men hold some point system to whether we had a hooker or not, so I havent yet, only reason, because i usually can get company without the bill and the main reason: When you do find a woman that you can stay with without running(yes, fear of relationship) you want to be able to be honest when you are asked "have you ever been with a prostitiute?"
Why, women, must you always ask THAT question?

OH PS..a call girl costs a minimum of 10 jumps

've dated women who I knew had no long term potential, including one this year for nearly 6 months. In those instances, I basically just want to eat & drink well, have fun, and get laid. Whatever money I spend is in consideration of those goals, and I stop when those goals aren't being met. I'm pretty sure most of those women have been on the same page, including that 6 month-er this year. Why would that offend you?

Because it implies a serious lack of respect. If you're just spending money on a woman to have sex with her (hence the prostitute analogy), you are basically saying that you're not spending money to "eat & drink well, have fun.." You're spending it to get laid. I would call eating and drinking well and having fun having a relationship with someone (albeit a shallow one, but hey, we can't always date our soul mates). To compare that to prostitution is like saying you only value that woman for how much she's going to put out, not the other stuff. And that's not cool - it's objectifies the woman. She's simply a way for you to have sex, and not a person.

Not that I have a problem with prostitution. I just think that most women wouldn't want for a relationship to be thought of as just getting stuff to have sex with someone. And if you read some of the responses by females in this thread, I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

i remember reading in FHM or something like that, that hookers are FAR cheaper per shag. think how much it costs to take a girl on a few dates etc....

No wonder the female race hates prostitutes... if prostitution were legal, the entire economics of dating would be unbalanced.

Think about it. Girls wouldn't get free drinks, nobody would ever offer to help them when in need, Valentines Day would go away, roses would just be considered a weed, insanely expensive restaraunts would go out of business.

The world would be thrown into utter chaos! All because men would stop acting stupid, just to get into a girl's pants! :D

Well if you breakdown the economics of the entire situation you start to see how women are truly marketing geniuses.

Take something that 51% of the worlds population has an almost unlimited supply of.. And still maintain a high market value for it... And maintain that value since… well since the beginning of time. Absolutely Brilliant if you ask me.:P:D

(And Brie.. I think you are taking this alot more serious than the rest of us.:P
Can you really say that you have never batted your eyes or flirted a little with a guy just to get something?? I think almost all women have done this at one point or another... There is nothing wrong with that, actually its kinda nice.)

We've got a thread that started in December, 2002 wherein guys are posting their peckers. We've got women objectifying TypicalFish on the basis of his apparently being the reincarnation of John Holmes.

And yet, there's no objection. Why? And there are plenty of women commenting about the "Ooh, yeah" aspect. I don't mind that there's a double standard - it is what it is. Vastly more dudes have posted theirs than women have posted theirs. Perceptions? Maybe. Risks? Yeah, a wonderful poster here took a gorgeous and artful picture down because of the shocking pm's she was getting.

Obviously, though, the person in a relationship is in control. An easy way to find out if a guy is only after you for sex is to see what happens if you don't put out. Does he leave? Well, then, good choice. Does he stay? Well, maybe he's in it for more than that. But, rest assured, sex is something on the wishlist of every guy out there.

So you're saying no one in Nevada ever goes out on dates? :D

Actually, prostitution is NOT legal in Nevada. Only outside the city limits. From what I saw on HBO, those ladies in the whore houses were pretty nasty anyway. I wouldn't pay $5 for the whole lot of 'em! :D

Paraphrased from some comedian, 'I'm not paying you for sex, I'm paying you to leave when I'm done!' :D

Notice that I cleverly used the term "Nevada" and not the term "Las Vegas.":P

It's us joking on the fact that to take you out to dinner and get to know you and buy you drinks at the bar is paying for sex in a different way.

Maybe if your dick ran as much as your mouth you wouldnt have to pay for it.

I disagree with this. That's like saying:

Stop giving her attention, and see if she stays; or stop working (by your own choice), and see if she stays.

If a woman leaves a guy because he stops giving her attention, then she must be an attention whore, right?

If a woman leaves a guy, just because he decides to quit his job and wants to sit around the house and do nothing, then she must be all about the money, right?

I disagree with both, for two reasons. The simple one is that sex is part of a relationship. If you don't want to have sex with the person you're with, then there's some bigger underlying issue... something that has nothing to do with only being used for sex.

Further, sex is part of a relationship. Take away something a partner in the relationship values, and you're just asking for problems. A girl takes away sex, there's going to be problems if the guy values sex. A guy who stops giving a girl attention, there's going to be problems if the girls is accustomed to attention... [:/]

Yes, but I think you can balance it. If you're looking for more than sex out of a relationship that includes sex, it's wise to make sure that you're on the same page. To me, that means getting to know someone well enough before you sleep with them that you know whether you have similar motives, unless, of course, you can handle the fallout if you later discover that you weren't on the same page as the other person. There have been times in my life and people I've met when "just sex" is exactly what I'm looking for. But generally, I've learned that if I'm interested in a relationship with someone, settling for "just sex" is going to hurt me, so I don't go there in the first place. The best way to find out if they're in it for "just sex" is to wait a bit to see if there's any interest in me for anything other than sex.

I know that some women (and some men, too) use sex as "currency" in the relationship; I've never felt like that was a healthy way to resolve issues. But early on in a relationship, waiting to have sex until you're sure that you're on the same page seems healthy and mature to me.
