ladyskydiver 0 #1 May 5, 2008 The journey has really started. I'm standing on the pathway that will lead to the rest of my life...it is only the beginning. The white coat ceremony was today. Although it's only the first step in the process, I wished that my family and friends could be here for it...but understand why they can not be here in the physical. I know they are here in the spirit and that comforts me. The ceremony almost brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. I know they will fall freely upon graduation. The professional photographer took a picture but I'm not sure when I will receive it. So in the meantime, Barb (my roommate) took a pic of me...I took a pic of Barb...and we hammed it up for a self-portrait.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! ladyskydiver 0 #18 May 6, 2008 Thank you, everyone! I'm so happy and excited...terrified and nervous. I just want to be the best veterinarian that I possibly can for my patients. Oh...and to those that are having "issues" all of the sudden...sorry...you're the wrong species for me to practice medicine on. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! skydivellama 0 #24 May 6, 2008 I mostly just lurk on here but I wanted to add my congratulations.. as a fellow vet student, I know how you feel! I'm in my third year (it's five years for me though, being in New Zealand) and I can attest that it is sometimes more stressful than I could have imagined, but it will all be worth it in the end. Cheers to you, I'm sure you'll be a great vet!
