AggieDave 6 #1 September 9, 2008 For me it really has to be Star Trek TNG. I can't help it. I'm not some sort of uber-trekkie. I don't go to conventions, I don't speak klingon and I have no idea what happened on DS9, but I can't get enough of this show. I watched it when it was still a first run show (well, syndicated, but it was syndicated in the beginning). I've seen every episode, but I can't help but record it every time its on TV with my DVR and watch it. Even the episodes I've seen dozens of times. I still watch with a smile on my face. I've never even met any of the actors in real life. I guess I'm a closet trekkie. Yes its a big closet, but hey, its nice in here. What is your all time favorite TV show?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

livendive 8 #12 September 9, 2008 Quote The new Battlestar Galactica That, Carnivale, X-files (before it got too convoluted), Seinfeld, and MASH. And yeah, Star Trek TNG was pretty good too, but not so much that I always kept track of the story from episode to episode (I was glad most of them were standalones). I'll also admit to having liked Friends, Ally McBeal (), and Celebrity Deathmatch. Does 10 episodes count as a TV show? If so, put Band of Brothers up near the top too. birdlike 0 #17 September 9, 2008 Quote For me it really has to be Star Trek TNG. I can't help it. Ugh. I occasionally will watch that show, but my overall impression was that it was pretty lame, because there seemed to be NO military- or even quasi-military discipline kept aboard that ship. For christ's sake, they had a civilian population on board. It always struck me as a sort of "Love Boat in space." For me, my favorite t.v. show of all time is "Firefly." THAT is a well-done show. From the ground up, it excelled: casting, writing, special effects, performances, nuance... Just fuggin' amazing. News Radio I didn't think long about second, third, fourth place, etc. when I answered "Firefly," but your post blew me the fuck away. THOSE ARE *EXACTLY* THE SHOWS I WOULD HAVE CONTINUED MY LIST WITH! (In addition to Seinfeld and Cheers.) Well, except for The Shield. I haven't really ever seen that, but I've heard it's really good.
