oh I do think she would have won without cheating. but you are right I do not care for her and that probably does make me tend to believe the worst. But why would these 2 have a reason to call it out if it was not true?

so the former National Chair and a U.S. Senator one saying they have evidence and the other believe it was rigged is a "conspiracy theory". You think they may know more about it than we do?
  6. yes sir Ryoder corrected my time line earlier and I do appreciate that. We get bombarded with "news" all day from many different platforms. Between that and taking care of life it can get confusing. It is good to have friends you respect that have a different perspective to learn from.
  7. I get that Mark and I understand where you are coming from. It has absolutely nothing to do with my dislike of Hillary and the reasons for it.
  8. thank you for pointing out my error.I appreciate it.
  9. From fact check.org: "the administration was quick to blame the video, which did trigger protests in Egypt and elsewhere, and slow to acknowledge the incident was a terrorist attack. Republicans say this was done by administration officials to help get Obama reelected, while Democrats — including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — have blamed the initial response on the “fog of war.” We leave that up to you to decide" initially they put out the blame the video line. Why they stayed with it as long as they did is the question. She was running for office at the time. It is all moot now.
  10. Now I see where you are coming from. I am no longer a Trump fan. I never was a Hillary fan. I have some friends that any time I bring up negative criticism of Hillary claim I am listening to "fake news" or I have bought into some kind of false narrative about her. They are just as much blinded by their hate for Trump as some are by their hate for Hillary.
  11. The administration did initially blame it on the video. Is that the manipulation you are referring to?
  12. The first thing that comes to mind is, if I pull the lever I am actually responsible for causing an event that I did not initiate to change and I am directly responsible for the 1 man's killing. But I think I would pull the lever and try to reduce terrible outcome. As far as a friend asking me. I would tell them it is not my decision and they have to do what they think is right.
  13. didn't Jesus tell the dude on the other cross "today you will be with me in paradise"?
  14. I was speculating on others beliefs not stating my own. The comparison with the computer hard drive just got me thinking about a few things I have read in the past. I forget what it was called maybe a pert of transcendentalism that I read about in the 70's. It was a belief that our energy is all intertwined and when we die that energy goes back into the big pool of energy in the universe. I look at it as another way for people to feel that we don't just end up in the compost pile.
  15. as far as the morality thing. I like to think I would have the principles I have now with or without religion but, as was pointed out to me on here a while back I was raised in the church so I will never know if that is where I got my morals or if I would be the same person if I was raised by atheists.
  16. It is to me but I think some people need to believe there is more to this existence. I am fine being a meat bomb. All I can do is try to make my little part of the world a place I want to be as long as I am here.
  17. because soul sounds better than compost heap??
  18. well that certainly makes sense. but having a soul makes our existence seem much more important hence religion
  19. I think that sums it up pretty good. IMO
  20. oh yeah I understand that I was just saying that I was reminded of it by that post. sorry I was not clear I was raised in the Lutheran church but I am not a believer now. I just find this interesting "We know energy cannot be created or destroyed but can only change form." So what happens to the electrical energy in our bodies when we die?
  21. this reminds me of the 21 grams experiment or some other theories about where the energy in our bodies go when we die. We know energy cannot be created or destroyed but can only change form. Is this what some would call the soul?
  22. one of the positive sides of organized religion Monasteries started brewing beer as early as the 5th century and at its peak, over 600 monasteries in Europe were brewing their own beer. The monks followed a principle of being completely self-sufficient and also made it their duty to provide pilgrims and visitors with food and drink
