  1. so the employee was allowed to steal your money wtf
  2. and maybe both occurrences were an overreaction by an employee and the corporation apologized for both
  3. or the guest could find another place to get coffee if they were uncomfortable with being around the other paying customers
  4. no I do not see my post a couple above yours. I was just responding to the question.
  5. with a quick search I found there are or, were in 2018 29,000 Starbuck's. I am not sure how many employees that relates to but at least 2 shit loads. You are bound to find a few that will make bad decisions. Looks like they were quick on the damage control and making things right. Good for them.
  6. because of this bs: "The six officers were asked to leave the coffee shop July 4 after a barista approached them and said a customer "did not feel safe" because of the large police presence."
  7. Oviedo will move to our post since we have the huge building and bar.
  8. https://www.legion.org/dispatch/246188/help-get-legion-act-passed I know a lot of veteran's organizations are having trouble keeping the membership numbers up. Here locally our post is about to close down do to lack of participation. The 4 or 5 of us are burned out trying to keep it going. We are barely able to pay the bills which means we have no or little $$$ left over to perform our mission of helping vets and the local community. Just 2 days ago we got a message from the district Commander asking if we would be interested in merging with another local post which just may save us from closing. I like the idea of including all vets into the ranks. I think for a lot of the younger guys getting out now it's just not their thing of they have newer groups that are specific to their service. Whatever the issue is it is sad to see. The veteran service organizations can be a big help to veteran's and their families and do a lot of charity work for homeless vets.
  9. correct the fact is I committed 4 years of work at a low pay rate to pay them back for my school.
  10. Yes. I don't see it that way. I think you pay for your school with labor. Not that I am opposed to social programs just my take on it.
  11. You mean like the Detroit city workers that got their pensions taken away when the city went bankrupt? So I joined the military and they sent me to A school after boot camp. I had to commit to work for them for 4 years in order to get the guaranteed school. Is that a socialist program too?
  12. For the record I have some conservative views and some more liberal and gasp even socialist. I believe we should take care of our less fortunate. I am pro choice. I also have a CWFL. When someone puts up a post with their views and then the next post will be similar to the "when did you stop beating your wife" or " if you're to stupid to believe the same way I do...." It is not productive. For example, if I say AOC comes off like a dumb ass because of a statement she made it immediately becomes "conservatives are afraid of her". Maybe I just think she's an idiot. Why can't statements be taken at face value instead of being pushed to ridiculous. I have tried to be more active on here because I value the conversation. Maybe I don't phrase things as well as some people. I'm a contractor not a writer . I learn things all the time on here and my views on some things have changed reading the views of some of you. But when you project beliefs onto others because of one stand they take and assume so much more it just shuts down the conversation.
  13. so you believe since 1 socialist country is doing well then all socialist countries must be doing well also gotcha
  14. that was stupid of Boquist to make that statement. The Reddit remarks remind me of the Malheur idiots. You are right you can't claim to be a member of the law and order party and at the same time break the law and threaten to kill cops. It was the same thing I was getting at in the other thread. I know no one wants to associate with nazi's but it just struck me funny with the "all inclusive" except them thing
  15. well that's not very inclusive of all then is it
  16. "We cannot provide a space that is inclusive of all and also allow support for open white supremacy." well almost all I know what they are getting at but that just struck me as funny
  17. https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/18/orlando-sentinel-2020-endorsement-donald-trump-1367031 the first sentence in this article
  18. but now the sky REALLY is falling not like when it was anyone but Hillary that was a false alarm
  19. it was a pretty cheesy joke but I doubt it is ban worthy but I'm no moderator
  20. yeah that's exactly what BIGUN said really? he would not vote for Jon Stewart because he doesn't agree with his politics so he must want first responders to die smh
  21. it may also be a good climate for a 3rd party candidate to actually have a shot
  22. I agree with you Wendy. This is how the supreme Supreme Court is supposed to work. IMO
  23. We were looking today but cannot find when the new truck comes out. Price point looks good if they stick with the projections.
  24. the one in the second sentence of the original post. Look my whole point was the misleading way the articles were connected. I made no comment on immigration policy or anything else. Agree or disagree it really doesn't matter. (now is where someone posts a a thinly veiled personal attack)
  25. not according to the article "after he and his mother crossed the southwest border and were apprehended, according to the Guatemalan consul in Del Rio, Texas" "They were apprehended on April 3 on the north bank of the Rio Grande in central El Paso, Texas," maybe they slept on the ground on there way here but what does that have to do with "Photos show children sleeping on ground at Texas Border Patrol station" not sure where you are getting they went to a border check point??
