  1. Never jumped it myself but from friends who jumped both the 2 is way easier than the 1
  2. Also record for the more expensive commercial jump?
  3. Just because it s the best way to fly quickly in the opposite direction of the plane flight path compare to do a 180°
  4. Until you have fun no reason to change. Anyway, the havok is super easy and you shouldn t have any trouble even with 20 jumps a year
  5. Havok is a perfectly good ws to start ws base. Easy, forgiving and efficient start. For sure less forward speed than the other ws like strix/ freak but if you fly properly you won t have any problem. Here in Europe many people do ws base in Havok. I have friend who was jumping the Brevent with. So no worries about and once you ll be ready for more it ll be already freak6 or strix 22
  6. Some suits are better on specific point than other (and generally worst on other) but there are not such a thing like "some model are superior" or "some brand are like this".It s not fact what you say, just your opinion. And i m sorry but you are wrong on almost every point. And also off topic.
  7. or maybe they spent more time on developping the suit than advertizing/ web... ;)
  8. search topics here. Some: https://www.dropzone.com/forums/topic/100338-recon-hud-for-wing-suits/ https://www.dropzone.com/forums/topic/100458-flysight-vs-recon-instruments/?tab=comments#comment-243508 https://www.dropzone.com/forums/topic/100401-recon-flight-hud---album-with-screenshots/?tab=comments#comment-241515
  9. Yes they sold some for ski/bike and the version for wingsuit also. I had one and also a friend who stil have his own...
  10. they stopped it now but this is a link with Jeb who advertized for it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysMXnzHLtZo https://engage.reconinstruments.com/
  11. It was already done with the google reckon wingsuit version. Actually it was nice practical, you already have enough to focus on to look a screen and notice the info
  12. I have 2 friends who had funk1 and tried the havok carve. They both sold their funk just after. I heard the Funk2 was already better than the 1 but never heard someone complaining about the havok
  13. How is it better for safety if these smaller suits have harder pulls than "bigger" due to higher internal pressure?
  14. Same kind of story happened with Tony, Squirrel and PF. Sometimes because of the suit, sometimes because of the guy. So...
  15. So Squirrel make specific races ws and win. Good for them. Does it means all their suit are superior, no. Races re races. We sadly saw the result on bfl... But once again, it was not the point
  16. Crace (and crace+)are specific speed races suit. Alpine or Sukhoi are not. I ll be curious to see if aura and colugo will play for the win. And i don t remind to saw any squirrel suit winning accro competition.
  17. If people still choose these wingsuits even with the lead times and the lack of communication maybe it means the suit are good or at least please them enough (or just cheaper :D). For the competition, the guys like Noah, Julian... will wins even with a plastig bag and most of the comps are in the US with all competitors in Squirrel so obviously "full Squirrel podium". It was the same with Tony just couple of years ago (or in Hungary with full Intrudair ;) ) Anyway, it was not about PF vs Squirrel.
  18. I think VB is a squirrel's undercover agent... He try to bring discredit on true PF "fan boys"
  19. My review of the Alpine. I only based it but can be usefull for some here: First, sorry for my shitty english. So, after 20 jumps with an Alpine (lend by a friend), ultra light cameroon, fins, this is my review. I have 300 ws skydive/ ~700 ws base. My actual suit is a Sukhoï. I stopped skydiving last season. I m not sponsorized but i flew mostly Phoenix Fly, by personnal choice. Suit quality is like usually, for Vampires, close to perfect. The ultra light weight cameroon looks at first (and sound) fragile but in fact is way more resistant. Of course this material is not the best choice for skydivers. You still have the choice with "regular" light weight cameroon or parapak (recommended for skydiving). "On the ground", the differences with the Sukhoï are the arms a little higher, more cells on the hips/ arms and longer deflector. "In the air", Glide is way better than my SU or the Aura & Ridge i flew with. By a quite big margin. The suit looks like she stay at same level, not going down. For the handling, you re definitly in a Vampire. For sure it fell bigger and a little less agile than the SU but switching from one to the other was without any troubles. The added surface on the upper body make it easier to fly than the SU. No problem for the pulling neither. It's a user friendly suit (with appropriate experience of course). Agility is really good, closer than a Vrace/Venom Power than other big glide suit. If you actually have one of these it ll be a perfect and valuable upgrade. In conclusion, the suit is easy to fly, easy to get amazing performance in: (start), glide, speed. The agility is really great for a big suit. Pull is easy. For distance, time and speed competition it ll be the perfect tool!
  20. It s basejumping and it s a skydiving forum here ;) Anyway thanks again for this video :)
  21. Updated http://hpics.li/358b5d6
  22. Part 2 with "exotics" and proto http://hpics.li/70796d0
  23. It's only wingsuits on this one, so no pantz (maybe later one specific). And like i said there are no way to order a Birdman's wingsuit on the website. So even if they still do wingsuit on "special" demand (i'm very doubtfull) they're not a major brand anymore. Sad for sure. Maybe i ll do one for the "exotics" wingsuit on my next insomnia (feel free to put links and pictures here)
