K... so i just upgraded to a Pc100 and was given a seemingly-nice Kenko .42 (Kcw-042) as all of my lenses were .30 for my PC5. The lese seemed quite nice until i viewed full-frame on the computer and there is some serious vignette going on. What i'm looking for is a .3-.42 lense with no vignette, good visual quality, ability to have filters added, and hopefully at a decent pM diamond .3 is great but you can't filter the damned thing w/o going inbetween the camera and the lens.... which not only leaves the lense unprotected but also has a tendancy to induce vignetting on an otherwise lovely viewing lense (on my pc5). Has anyone seen differently on the pc100 version? can i polarize it w/o vignette? yes.. the Pro Shop at the ranch will do gear rentals so long as you're licensed. They have spectres and sabre2s as small as 170 (maybe smaller.. not sure) for rent. Any good arguments for one over the other? I know tons of people who love their 100s and have never had an issue, but don't really know anyone jumping a 110. Is there something odd about the 110 that has people not jumping them, or are the 100s jsut so robuse that they haven't needed replacing yet? Thanks for your input. Yesno? I've been using my pc5 with the AF rollcage for ages and love it, but my cmera finally shit the bed and it's time to upgrade. I'd like to to with a 100 or 110 for the bigger lense/CCD than the 9/101/105 series, but i like the rollcage quite a bit, and Tom said they haddn't really tried the newer models in the PC100 version (but was skeptical) Has anyone tried this, for better or worse? AFAIK the "clear" ones are accomplished with polarized lenses turned 90deg to eachother, and similar filters used either in the filming pro projecting. I doubt that this would work on a CRT, though you could use 2 projectors with polarizers ofer them and watch 'em on the wall or somesuch.
