  1. We have you beat: Lady Gaga Man, that was awful… I highly suggest drinking if any of you make that mistake.
  2. I'm telling her to give the kid a Red Bull, a new kid drumset, and a puppy right before you pick her/him up. That might backfire on her since we live with her until P comes home That kid needs a crazy uncle. Last time I checked, he had a couple of those. What's up, Uncle Ski? The baby wants to know where his drum set and fireworks are

  4. Enjoy the stress free jumping. You can't beat that "mom" babysitting. Valinda and I were very lucky to get to jump together when the kids were young and friends would keep an eye on them while we went up.
  5. And I'm heading to the DZ child-free. I can only do a half day, but, hey, beggars can't be choosers!!
  6. I agree with those who said you can't force an intervention or recovery. I grew up with the sloppy drunks and married into a family of functioning alcoholics, there's nothing you can do, if they don't see the problem. That said, if there's anyway you can help the son, do it.
  7. Jealous of the Squeaks and the Mitchells
  8. It's not recent, but this reminded me of how much I hated The Godfather: Part III. Man, that one was bad.
  9. I can't figure out how to work a computer most of the time. Liar. I like to binge on shows. I typically watch from start to current of only one show at a time and have a hard time watching other shows until each one is finished.
  10. I'll give them some slack; At least they are making an effort to solve the problem. And technically, I was one once. How are we defining overweight, exactly? Muffin tops? Make your pants tight and low enough and just about ALL of us can have a muffin top.
  11. I enjoyed it. Then again, I don't live in Jersey. That's what drove me nuts about it. I can't stand the Northern New Jersey/New York thing. What thing is that? The Smell? The only time it smells is when you're on the New Jersey Turnpike going through Elizabeth. As for the movie, I can't stand the stereotypical overbearing family, loud Italian Catholic bullshit and the way Italian mother's baby their sons. I haven't seen the movie, but that pretty much describes my in-laws (minus the Italian part) I've learned to love them, but jeez it's overwhelming when we visit. Movies that I loathed: Both Hunger Games movies Pain and Gain Hyde Park on Hudson
  12. Sleep. I can count the number of times I've slept more than two hours straight in the last (almost) two years on one hand.
  13. NO. 1) I agree with Lucky's first post. 2) As a parent, I can't imagine doing this with a friend. Alone, maybe (probably not, but maybe), but a non committed friendly relationship, no way. Like others have said, parenting is hard work. I couldn't handle baby mama/daddy drama on top of that. If you do go into this with a friend, make sure that you cover ALL the bases. Who will have primary custody, what will the day-to-day look like, daycare options, what happens if someone wants to move away, vacations, parenting style and philosophies, spanking, vaccination, circumcision, family medical history, religion, sex education, even the freaking carseat can be a big deal. I know couples who have divorced over an inability to see eye-to-eye on parenting topics, and I knew people who won't compromise on some issues. Some of it you can figure out as you go along, but be prepared to have heated discussions without the make-up sex, if you go that way.
  14. It'll go by quick! We just arrived this morning.
  15. Maybe she likes to see the Christmas pageant that's usually before the earlier Christmas Eve Mass? I know most of my friends with kids do. Regardless, I'm sorry for the drama and that she won't compromise
  16. You won't have to be the new guy all alone. We're moving to that area as well in about two weeks. Looking forward to meeting you and everyone else very soon!
  17. + 1 When I get Friend Requests from old boyfriends I usually accept them, troll their pics and then thank God I dodged a bullet for breaking up with them. +2
  18. This, and I'm not lactose intolerant, but my baby is allergic (and breastfed), so I can't have any. So Delicious brand makes a pretty good coconut based chocolate ice cream, though :) In Korea, Baskin Robbins carried and Apple Mint that was surprisingly amazing and is probably what I would choose as my fave, if I could only pick one.
  19. Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert. My biggest suggestion is to ditch the dairy. I don't do much more than tote the baby around and breastfeed, but I don't eat dairy and eat limited grains (we border on Paleo in our house), and I have decently defined abs. Diet is going to play a much bigger role in definition than the exercise alone. And make sure you eat real food! Your body needs fuel!
