Well, the manican got the "B" out of the way which is usually the tougher of the objects to get. Congrats. How soon for the other objects?

So, SIZE DOES MATTER. I knew it!

Will this suffice?

Taking it like a man is like taking it by a man in your jailcell. Throw money at your problem & get a light sentence or get it reduced. Probation of any form is unacceptable. Where I live, the penalty for tresspassing can be up to 6 months in jail or probation, including drug tests, visits by probation officers, $100 per month probation supervision fee, and many hours of community service. Your lawyer will know how serious the tresspassing is based on the nature of the incident, the police report, and the court assigned to your case. At least talk to lawyer to find out what are your options. If this turns out bad, do you really want this stuff following you for the rest of your life?

There are a couple people at Bridge Day who jump them but personally, I would not BASE jump them anywhere else.

Let's not burn this site!
-
Anyone have experiences with them? I have a couple questions. pm me please.

I got his Rock Dragon and took it to the top of our 600' other this weekend only to climb back down. Damn weather. The conditions were right to do a local B tonight but my jumping buddy elected to have dinner with his girl. WTF.

Besides, if you take up BASE later in life and are successful, you'll need that cash to pay for all the broken bones. No joke.

Satan was his rigger and taught Maggot how to pack, and spell!

It may be a good idea to keep one of these in your truck in case the jump takes a bad turn (talking from experience).

You seem very determined but if your avatar numbers are correct, you are averaging less than 50 jumps per year which is not exactly as current as you should be. Have the BASE jumpers you approached told you speciafically why they are unwilling to help? Self instruction is a bad idea. Start with a first jump course and read the numerous posts about getting into BASE. Good luck on your journey.

My buddy did the same at the Turkey Boogie but forgot to turn off the valve on the mouthpiece. He's all geared up and we see water dripping from between his legs....looked like he was pissing himself! You had to be there.

Lame as well. Wasted $50. Someone should get a poll going whether it was worth the money or a waste since a MAJORITY of jumpers did not make any of the footage.
-
I think we are also experiencing too many scenarios where the jumper wanting to get into BASE has barely a hundred skydives, below average canopy skills, and not the right attitude (i.e. reluctance to ground crew, burning objects). People are less patient today and want instant rewards without having to pay the "dues" or follow the progression suggested by others.

I believe piisfish was asking what brand of helmet left him unprotected to make a gash like that. I would like to know myself.

Just about any of the sites at Mineral Bottom are a favorite. No climbing, very little hiking, beautiful view (although any exit point in Moab has a nice view from the top).

I would stay away from any helmet that uses polycarbonate or anything with the word poly in the padding. This stuff bounces to retain its form rather than breaking up from an impact (to absorb the shock). Would you want your head bouncing off a cliff wall? The new Pro-Tecs use polycarbonite construction (hard foam).

It is not surprising the instruction was refused and I would be interested in the details about this story.
