  1. Stop flirting with each other and deal with your issues off line.......... and if you cant do that then just dont bother dealing with each other at all.. reply] You two are going to have incredible make up sex when this feud is over....
  2. Althouigh rare, retraction systems on CRW canopies can get jammed up which will ruin your day on a BASE jump. Not good. If you want a way to get more drive without using a bag, I use a pilot chute killer on my CRW rig that has a #8 grommet (I believe) on the bridle attached to a round piece of fabric (similar to how a dbag slides up the bridle and covers up the pc). This is packed with the canopy and slides up after deployment. I am sure a serach on the CRW forum can provide a photo.
  3. I will be renting a boat and vacationing at Lake Pow*** next month with the wife. I am guessing it would be a bad idea to bring a rig onto the boat in case I see something real nice? I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has done something at this lake which is pretty damn big on the map.

    Base and Parents

My mom is now ok with the skydiving over the past twelve years but did not know about the BASE jumping. Last year, we took a trip to Italy to visit relatives and I asked her in advance if we can stop at the Italian terminal wall to make a jump. She kind of freaked out when she learned BASE rigs have no reserves. I tried my best to explain it is better than taking a skydiving rig but have the feeling I did not convince her. We met at Marcello's restaurant after the jump and was quite relieved I was safe but asked in a nice way to never include her on any future jumps because she was a nervous wreck.
  5. We could call it . . . what? Quote BASE honorable mention?
  6. Do the extensions get in the way at pull time when reaching back for the pilot chute?

    BASE Numbers

BASE number 1000 must be close to being issued soon. Who's going to be the lucky guy (or girl)?
  8. I received my copy of TTN II this weekend and loved every minute of it. My wife was in tears laughing so hard at the golf cart and breaking the bottles clips. Definitely worth it.
  9. I never had any problems either until the Paris airport where they charge 4 Euros for a can of Coca Cola. I was instructed any sort of parachute cannot be taken as carry on in France and must be checked (even though it was unpacked in the dufflebag). I asked why. They told me the possibility exists to parachute out of the airplane and detonate a bomb remotely after exit. I explained to the nice lady the probability of surviving jumping an unpacked parachute out of a jet from 30,000' traveling at 500mph. Doesn't this sound silly? She politely agreed and said I still have to check it. Oh, well.
  10. Nate, Is TTN II available in a DVD format? Randy

    Paraglider jump

The safety of the person operating the snowmobile must also be taken ino consideration. Your buddy driving it has a degree of risk if something goes bad. I saw a helicopter worth well over six figures end up at the bottom of a lake while towing a small boat.

    Italy weather

Just made a jump there on Monday and it is definitely breezy during the day. Stick to the early morning and late afternoon windows. As far as the construction, we had no problems driving around the heavy machinery to get to the path.
