I've never heard of the Mantis......could you please clarify for this newbie JG

I'm thinking about getting S-Links for my Spectre and need some feedback. Since it's a PD canopy I know their compatible, but I had one person tell me that they didn't like them because they let the slider come down over one toggle sometimes. Has anyone else had this expirience with them? JG

I see people wearing all types of sunglasses they use surgical tubing to keep them secured to their head. JG

I'm getting as rig. I jumped it last weekend and it was awesome. it's a wings container with a spectre 170. I also got to see the World record Deaf bigway at SSM. heres a good one about that. all these deaf skydivers are standing in front of manifest waiting to load. One of the girls in manifest makes the call to load over the PA. Then she does it again cause no one has moved to the plane as shes getting ready to make the third call someone taps on the window and tells her they can't hear a fuckin thing you say...lol. She finally got someones attention visually and got her point across and he got everyone moving. Feels like a Monday here think it's time for a 2 hour lunch Cya JG

I truly thought that jumping out of the plane was hard but getting that fucking thing into the bag ....well it makes me wanna shoot someone and all the helpful comments....."you still packing that", "you really gonna jump that"....etc really add to the fun, hopefully by the time I get out there again we'll both be able to pack fast enough to make more then 5 loads then we can truly get it on. ahem well I think in the states your gonna have a hard time with the B and A, since this is the country that has brainwashed the masses into thinking that if it's a law it must be right (oh wait thats the whole world....were just hung up on death and sex). Before I start ranting I'll say that you can probably do it legally, but not in the states. This is an educated guess but probably true (most businesses would be scared shitless of getting sued so that makes B and A hard) but what the hell it's only breaking and entering, and your a white male so unless you have a record you'd only get your wrists slapped the first few times, just so you understand that their trying to save you from yourself. Otherwise just plan vacations around it JG

You can try the "downsize till you break your leg then go up a size method"......j/k. like they said we can't judge your abilities, since we've never seen you under canopy So it's hard to reccomend anything. check with your JM's expirienced skydivers etc... JG

before I would say anything I'd ask how are your landings if your biffing at your current wing loadings I would be hesitant to tell you to downsize. Ask your JM's who have watched you what they recomend they are probably the best judges. JG

Yea I was leaving when that started. I heard they had another plane not sure what coming in, and the bummer is that they let someone use the king air (it left on Saturday).....explain sucker holes I didn't fly through any clouds Saturday, although we did have to go around a big cloud that was hanging over the DZ on one load JG

Dude don't feel bad let me tell you I failed my aff level 3 for not pulling at 5k. I consistently stood up and flailed my exits on all my AFF jumps. I just stopped swimming my exits(or as my DZO puts it "he's of to the races") and I'm on jump 40. Was doing slow turns till level 6 especially on the bottom of the dive, cause I was tensing up. Plus I think you S/L guys have it harder because you get much less time in free fall per jump and so don't get as much into muscle memory. Stick with it and it will come. Remember when you learned things in the past you usually got to practice for at least an hour at a time now your trying to learn something in 15 second increments, so at this point you have like 3 minutes in freefall. It took you a couple of years for you to learn how to walk, so I would suggest giving yourself a little more time then 3 minutes before you say "I can't do this". I truly believe you can and I don't know you. as for turns when you dip your right arm you'll go right same goes for left (this assumes your legs are even and stable). when you looked at your alti you probably tried to do it like it was a watch and brought your left hand in which induced a left turn. Also if you look in a direction you will tend to go that way. Practice looking at your alti on the ground make sure all your doing is twisting your wrist and turning your head just enough to see it(have someone expirienced watch you do this the first few times). as has been said relaxation is key make sure your smiling weird as it seems this seems to be something almost everyone agrees on. The first jump I smiled on was awesome it was like getting over the hump from then on it was all good. Ya'll should have come up to San Marcos. I got to jump my new rig (it will be mine by next month). There were a few peeps from spaceland here. I plan on going back out tommorow for a few more jumps come on up next week if it's raining Blue ones PS we only had 1 half hour hold yesterday :) JG
