  1. Something that should be brought up about this discussion: You have 2 of the BOD's that stand to MONETARILY benefit directly from this policy change, Kip Lohmiller and Jay Stokes. These guys are both on the S&T committee too. Just wondering if they had input what so ever on this change, because if they did it would be a CONFLICT OF INTEREST.Any DZO should have been excluded from the vote too according to USPA's conflict of interest policy. The reason the BOD did this is because THEY did what THEY wanted to do because that is what THEY wanted to do. I would like to know how many TM's were contacted by BOD's to discuss this policy change.I bet it was 0. Chris Welker
  2. Well Rob, someone said you had integrity. I just said no you don't and why. You might want to take some of your new found wealth and take an english class - you write like your good friend and boss Cary. If you really want to save face on this Rob, you can send $300 to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Judy
  3. ***Students loans are incredible things with incredible rates. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with debt if you know how to manage it. However, many people cant...you know yourself better than me. I'm pretty sure everyone on my collegiate team used student loans to finance their rigs including me. Plus, debt management is critical to success in life......so its good to start in college despite what some may say. Again though, all of us had advance knowledge finance and accounting. *** I call BULLSHIT! You must be kidding, right? The only thing wrong with your plan is it doesn't account for RISK. Please tell me how you are going to service your debt if you get injured and are unable to work or just get fired, laid off, etc. Chri$ Welker
  4. Lincoln Town Car '03 thru '07. I have been selling Cadillac and Lincoln Hearses and Limos to funeral homes for over 6 years. I just got back from a 29 hour round trip drive from Memphis, TN to Minneapolis, MN with a 2006 T/C that got 27.2 miles to the gallon. The car has a huge trunk and true luxury car ride. Saw a 2006 in the paper this weekend with 16K miles for 25K.With good care and maintenance, will go over 200K miles. Chri$ Welker
  5. *** "As put forth in the film, the "Law of Attraction" principle posits that people's feelings and thoughts attract real events in the world into their lives; from the workings of the cosmos to interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs. The film also suggests that there has been a strong tendency by those in positions of power to keep this central principle hidden from the public." Does anyone take such a notion seriously? I didnt know whether to lauch or cry when reading about such a ridiculous idea. Did you know that 5% of the Earths Human population knows that the other 95% is clueless? Chris
  6. Ask them. Chris It isn't a matter of if more of when some canopy mfg. gets sued over a hp canopy accident. From a risk management point I would rather be on the witness stand saying: "The deceased took a factory piloting class and proved capable of safely flying this hp wing in all conditions" VS "Training? What do you mean training, We just make and sell the things and if you got the money to pay for it then we are going to sell it to you." Chris
  7. The LAWS that pertain to how fast these vehicles can LEGALLY go are the same. Chris
  8. Because more people are getting killed or injured under open flying canopies while skydiving as a whole is getting smaller. If education is doing so much good would you please show me your numbers to back this up? It is all about the results! Chris
  9. So what your saying is a 288 Manta loaded at 1:1 handles and flies exactlky like a XAOS 91 loaded at 2:1. Cool theory. To those that don't know how? What your point? Chris
  10. Beacuse it would be like taking sand to the beach, not necessary. YES, YES I AM! Chris
  11. Well since the MANUFACTURES built these things, hows about getting them to take RESPONSOBILITY for their products and provide the training. Chris
  12. I was taught by my instructors how to fly and land a parachute without injuring myself or others during AFF. After 2200+ canopy landings I guess I should feel lucky to be alive without all that fancy canopy school stuff. If these self proclaimed canopy experts/coaches can teach me how to survive a fall from 100 feet after being crashed into PLEASE sign me up, until then I will just keep working with what I already know, thank you. It seems to me that more people are getting injured and killed under canopy since these canopy courses have been taught. Bottom line is I have a whole lot to live for and I don't need someone taking me out and I am going to do everything I can to protect myself. If this means supporting rules in order to do so, then so be it. Chris
  13. Finally got the pictures down to size. This 1991 Cadillac Funeral Coach belongs to Mike Mullins from West Tennessee Skydiving. I sell Hearses and Limos to Funeral Homes. Mike told me if I ever ran across an old hearse he would be interested in trying to come up with a way to use one for advertising. People do look at these cars, Trust me. Chris

  16. The USPA is LUCKY to have someone like Chris Needels to run the day to day operations. He is the type of person that would have unlimited earning potential in the private business sector. He has got more connections in D.C. than an ATT switch board and those connections have help keep skydivers skydiving our the years.I know he does an excellent job LEADING our association considering he has 22 supervisors If you ask me the USPA is getting a REAL GOOD DEAL on this one. I personally would not take less than < 325K + bennys for the thankless position. Chris Welker Hearse&Limo Salesman
