  1. And since all "smart" people know God doesn't exist the whole thing was an exercise in futulity. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  2. I agree. I am strongly against abortion on a personal level but people should have the freedom to make their own decisions. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  3. Better hide that ballet from Acorn. They will Zerox it all BO will win by a landslide. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  4. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. --John Stuart Mill, 1806-1873 The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  5. No, I can't stomach the crap that both sides spew. If they actually debated I would watch but all they do is hit the SOS talking points. I'll be in the basement playing ping pong with the kids. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  6. I don't believe it is good for everybody but it pleases and benefits the underacheivers to hear such ideas and it is a great way for Obama to get the "poor" vote. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  7. I see your point but if it were up to me I would not ban anything, drugs included. Tax them heavily and let people choose their poison. Let them choose if they want an abortion. I am opposed to the above two on a personal level but to each his own. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  8. It works way to well, unfortunately. Great post. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  9. Why shouldn't we have a system where those who HAVE more pay more? Why should those who have success be punished? Those who have more normally have more for a reason. Let them keep their money and invest it back in the economy. Paying tax to run the country that enabled your success is PUNISHMENT? Is it a mark of "success" to inherit wealth like Paris Hilton? Less than 3% of the wealthy inheritied their money. Wealthy people should pay taxes but they should not pay more and be punished for their success. The wealthy people will put the money to better use than the government will. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

  11. Bullshit... Anyone who sits on their ass and does not work does not deserve welfare... period. Paying women to have children is fucking stupid. EVERYONE can do something... with the exception of those severly disabled. Even many of those can and do remain productive members of society. BUT.. what do you do with those who are capable of working... but will not work???? I don't think they deserve anything either. My verbage was lackluster there. I meant to say if you don't work all you will end up with is welfare even though they shouldn't. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  12. Yet you support others banning firearms? Typical lefty. Its OK to ban things they don't like but leave their pet projects alone! The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  13. Something I agree with you on. We are all born Unequal. Each with different Intellect, Intelligence, Drive, Motivation and Opportunity. The ones that take what they have and what is available to them and make the most of it are generally called Conservatives. Those that whine about how unfair that is are generally called Liberals. Then we agree; claiming that we are an equal opportunity society is incorrect. You are dead wrong. ANYONE that works hard can earn a decent living and contribute to society. Thats not to say that hard work guarantees great wealth but it does guarantee self sufficiency. People that sit on their ass all day desrve what they get-welfare. 14. Do you want to borrow a handkerchief? Do you want to make a point? The title of this thread is not "Overpaid CEOs." The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  15. I agree that you should have to have a picture ID to vote. A valid driver's license would work, passport, etc. The document could be issued by the state at no cost and gives citizens1-2 years to obtain the picture ID if they don't already have one. This would greatly reducr voter fraud. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  16. Yes I wear my bubble wrap suit whenever driving or doing anything for that matter. These loonies really have me on edge and the bubble wrap suit makes me calm. But it makes me sweat like a whore in church. That design flaw needs to be addressed. And I also doubt the bubble suit is bulletproof as claimed. 17. Alcohol is the perfect example for showing the double standard when it comes to gun laws. Alcohol causes much more deaths and damage to socitey than firearms do but since alcohol has been deemed acceptable by the majority of the populace no one complains. But since guns are only accepted by a minority of society there are multiple organizations that want to ban guns. I don't drink and don't see the draw of it either. But if you want to drink and skate home in your own sick that is fine by me. Please extend the same courtesy to me and my guns. And no I can't prevent loonies from getting guns just as I can't prevent assholes from drinking and driving. So I guess we have to ban alcohol too! 18. We also need to abolish the knife show "loophole." That will be a step in the right direction. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

  21. The debates are a joke IMO. All both candidates do is repeat their buzz words and phrases. They should truly debate one another. No tele-prompters, no knowledge of questions before hand. no PC speak. If that were too happen the debates might actually prove useful in showing who has more substance and knowledge. As they are now it is just a dog and pony show with no substance. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  22. Yeah invading other countries under pre-texts of terrorism and then murdering all their children - what a good job. Ummm what about all of the American children, husbands, wifes, moms, dads, brothers & sisters that those camel kissing allah worshipping towel heads took from us? There have been some unfortunate casulaties in this war. But at least its targeted and we are not hi-jacking airplanes and flying them into known places of innocent people. I served our country once and would do it again in a heartbeat! This one is just too idiotic to be real. You have failed troll. Got irony? You know all about trolling don't you? The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  23. McCain used poor judgment and he fessed up to it. If Obama said he used poor judgment in dealing with Ayers then thread would not be alive. All Obama can say is that he was 8 years old when Ayers was building bombs. That doesn't answer the question about his dealings with Ayers and he refuses to answer. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  24. Didn't see that reply coming at all. That the best you got? Show me one pro 2nd Amendment cast by BO. Good luck because no such vote exists. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  25. Thanks for your concern. Since you are expert in all things "conspiracy" can you tell who it was on the grassy knoll that shot JFK? Surely you have a youtube video that can give us the answer? The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
