  1. If we say your "right" will you quit wasting bandwidth with this conspiracy crap? The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  2. No doubt. Show me a person from either side of the aisle that doesn't take every possible deduction. We should be "patriotic" and want to pay higher taxes like Joe Biden. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  3. There are a great deal of criticisms against gun shows that are propagated by the anti-gun crowd. And all of them are untrue. Gun show dealers have to follow the same rules as retail stores. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  4. There is no difference between a background check that is done at a gun show compared to a retail store. Do you honestly think there is? Now it is true that an individual can sell to another individual at a gun show with no paper work but individual to invidual sales can take place anywhere. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  5. Anyone with knowledge of a how a gun show works will not be surprised by this. This study was a waste of time and money. I am subject to the same regulations whether I buy a pistol at a gun show or a retail store. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  6. So rather than dispute my accusations the Obamas are corrupt you justify it by pointing out a McCain advisor is corrupt? That is SOP here in SC. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  7. Phil Gramm is not running for president. Back on topic please. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  8. ditto #2, can't do it. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  9. If you compare the interviews it is obvious who is getting the softball questions and who is not. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  10. Obama is a lousy candidate on many issues, not just the 2nd. Now you know. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  11. That's constitutionally incorrect. You're only thinking as far as the gun issue. The founding of this nation, and the US Constitution, are predicated on the principle of each state being able to enact its own laws, as long as they are not preempted by federal laws. And that means that states have laws that are inconsistent with the laws of other states all the time. But if one were to take your principl to its logical extreme, no state would be able to have any state law that was inconsistent with the law of any other state. Article IV, Section 1 of the United States Constitution, commonly known as the Full Faith and Credit Clause, addresses the duties that states within the United States have to respect the "public acts, records, and judicial rulings" of other states. In my earlier post I said 4th amendment when I meant Article 4 above. I believe this "full faith and credit" should extend to concealed carry in all 50 states. 12. I have used some of this information to show people just how BO supports the 2nd Amendment. He says he does but his actions from the past show he is lying through his teeth. Imagine. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  13. Just like they have no problem with Ifill moderating the debate tomorrow night even though she is known Obama supporter. But if someone like Rush Limbaugh moderated the debate they would howl for days. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  14. The lefties don't care. Shady things are fine as long as they benefit. Now if the right were to benefit from shady things then they would scream like stuck pigs. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  15. Of course they would. But they see nothing wrong with what is happening. Speaks volumes. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  16. For close distances the H&K MP10 would be my choice. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  17. I agree. And if the state of GA deems that I am fit to carry a concealed weapon then EVERY other state should allow me to as well. The 4th amendment should apply here. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

    Murtha sued

I 2nd the motion. Murtha is a POS and I hope he loses his re-election bid. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  19. Where has common sense gone? Are they going to confiscate cars next? I could do alot more damage with my car than a 3 foot walking stick. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  20. WHAT????? Are you nuts? Do you think they will reduce the gov spending or debt or anything else? Think about it man No, I know for a fact that it won't work out but I am HOPING it will because I think the bill will be passed even though personally I am against any type of bail out. It is a bad move to make and the whole "we are gong to make money off the bailout" is pure BS. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  21. I hope it works out as described and that this bailout will benefit the treasury in the long run but I keep hearing the following famous last words in my head: "I promise I'll pay you back man." It is a big risk. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  22. I don't think you understand the organization. There's the NRA, which sticks to teaching gun safety, building shooting ranges, running competitions, etc. Then there's the NRA-ILA - that's the political lobbying group. These two entities are distinct and separate. By law they have to be. You can't intermingle funds. Mailings from the NRA-ILA do not come from NRA funds. It would be against the law to do so. That's why you perceive that there are so many mailings. They can't send NRA info in the same envelope with NRA-ILA info. They have to be separate mailings. If you want to support hunting and shooting sports, join the NRA. Then just throw away the ILA mailings if you don't like the lobbying. But if it weren't for that lobbying, you would have lost your gun rights 30 years ago. Just like self defense - if someone is attacking you, and you sit back and do nothing in response to protect yourself, you're dead. If you don't want your shooting sports to die, you should be a member of the NRA. Here here! Great post. If you own a gun you should be a member of the NRA! The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  23. Wasn't even there. How is that a suspension of anything? Now that an agreement has been reached before he even showed up, he still won't commit to the debate and still Palin is nowhere to be found. This really looks bad. In other news, the president didn't suspend anything during this crisis:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080925/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_mideast;_ylt=Audx971e4Hi1lzcBU0uiDHqs0NUE Not looking good. No agreement has been reached yet. There is a general framework in place but there is still alot that has to be hammered out. But I agree that McCain needs to step up and debate as planned. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  24. I also heard on the radio that even the Chinese are getting leary of loaning us money. That is a bad sign if even the Chinese are cutting us off. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
  25. Now there's an idea. If McCain really thinks it's necessary to postpone his first debate with Obama, then they could simply move the VP debate to the 9/26 slot. The way debates are structured are so scripted. Here is what should happen. Both Obama and McCain should have be pulled out of bed at 3 AM in the morning with no warning and they should debate questions that they don't know are coming. Then we would see who knows what what. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
