  1. Correct, Wings no longer offers the 50% discount. It's now 40%. Which still isn't too bad. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  2. Evelyn , I remember you on one of our high altitude loads. Also remember Will's rig being used... Good times. We're no longer doing high altitude jumps. We've got the PAC750 and it's not configured for oxygen (at least not yet) like the King Air. However, we still hit 14K+ on EVERY load. And, the PAC is one sweet plane. T. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  3. Another post/vote for Velocity. As stated above, they'll build you any dive loop configuration you like. They've done at least four custom sets for me. IMO the hard housings are definitely the best out there. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  4. Simon - Excellent input as always. Jazz - Was about to mention the same thing. OP, if this is a custom rig from Wings, you may want to contact Scarlett and let her know you're having issues with your laterals. Otherwise, you might explore the use of a belly band or have Wings make a lateral mod. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  5. I'll second Liquid Sky. I've had mine for over a year and 600+ jumps. Still looks great and has held up very well. I sent mine back to Julio for some "extra" mods recently and he had it back to me in less than 7 days. Without a doubt, the best customer service in the jump suit bizz. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  6. When I buy equipment on line, I only use https://www.escrow.com/index.asp Fantastic service for both parties. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  7. Great/Individual designs all. I'm working on my second Wings rig (very customized/unique... aren't they all ). However, a bit torn between standard (old) design and the new Vision. As I travel around, I don't seem to see any Visions out there. Anyone recently picked one up? If you have one, what are your impressions? Bigway - Which model did you just order, standard or Vision? If not the Vision, why not? Ok... Once I get the details nailed down and have Henri sign off on design, I'll post a pic. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  8. Yea.... More details please. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  9. Does the Speed 2000 pack tight and neat in the 126 designed Wings reserve tray? Why is it "tricky" to get the 150 Speed 2000 in... It's still well under the PD126 cu. in.? Would be interested in hearing/learning more about the Speed 2000 (sorry, not meaning to highjack tread). Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  10. Ian, Fantastic! Have taken Scott's course a few times and ALWAYS leave impressed and full of new knowledge. So, really excted to learn things from you as well. I've already contacted Hans and am on the list for both Saturday and Sunday. Just hope is doesn't start too early. It's a 9 hour flight from Hawaii and then have to pick up rental, etc. So, anything you can do to hook a brother up would be appreciated Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  11. Ahhhh Hell, I'm in. And, as coincidence would have it, first weekend in May aligns perfectly with my annual "jump" trip to the mainland. Will contact Hans this pm about details and let him know the boys from Hawaii will be in town again. Count me in. Couple quick questions... Any conflict with the Coach Course I see on the schedule? Ian, Can you give a little break down of the course for both days? Does it somewhat mirror Scott M's course? How many jumps are involved per day? Landings videoed, etc.? With Scott recently getting out of the Canopy Course game, this is VERY timely. Good on ya. Oh yeah... need to add this to the Farm web site Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  12. Bones - Odd... They let me jump my Rawa with the dual quick releases (on the chin cup). No worries, we'll hook up and pull together the few freefliers who usually show. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  13. Are you talking about combat jumps, training jumps, cargo (CDS) bundle drops, etc.? As-far-as standard commerical "skydiving drops"... Don't think so However, I've included OPSEC safe/clear pics of some training jumps at the former Tallil Air Base Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  14. Nice pic Simon. I recall the suit from Black and Gold. Damn, we should have grabbed you for our freefly loads. Seems most were just doing belly. See you there next year? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  15. I was at this years Black & Gold and noticed the Knights wearing something very similar to what Yeyo designed except this particular design went around the leg strap... Very unobtrusive and slick. I hadn't seen that before and asked around. Apparently, a rigger at Raeford makes them, although I can't confirm. If anyone knows for sure and has contact info let us know. Nice design Yeyo! Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  16. I'll second the Liquid Sky remark. Julio and Co. are fantastic and his customer service is probably the best in the suit business. I needed a quick repair done last week and he had my suit back to me in Hawaii within 7-days and included some new mods free of charge. And let me add, my Liquid Sky suit has over 500 jumps and still looks fantastic... exceptional workmanship. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  17. Good point Phree. I've thought of that and have also been looking at manufactures of civilian tactical hear. Although Black is the predominant color, I've gotten a few hits on Urban Camo, but typically only cotton twill. I may also look to the "fashion" market for Urban Camo items (backpacks, etc.) made using a solid grade cordura. Don't need much... about 2 square yards or so. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  18. I hear ya Nicole. I've called the major rig manufactures as well and some of the top fabric companies too... No luck. I consider myself pretty resourceful, but this quest has me stumped. I know there's got to be a couple a yards of Urban Camo cordura out there somewhere. So, if anyone reading this knows of a source please contact me. Many thanks. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  19. All - Looking for a little assistance/direction and before you ask/flame I did a thorough forums search and some fairly extensive Googling that got me close, but not quite there. looking for a source for container grade cordura (500/1000 denier) in Urban Camouflage pattern (black, white, & gray). Found some decent sites that carry the latest digital camo patterns (Army & Marine), but no luck on the Urban Camo pattern. Wonder if any rig manufactures have a line on Urban Camo... Thoughts? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  20. I had the same issue when I was jumping a Nitro 150. Slider would hang up constantly about mid way down the line set... Could never really figure it out. And, the slider on the Nitro has got to be the heaviest I've seen or felt. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  21. I live and jump on Oahu... Pacific Skydive. I actually jump at both companies, but primarily at Pacific. If you're looking for altitude and a FULL 60 seconds of freefall, then it's a no-brainer... Pacific Skydive Center. You'll go ALL THE WAY to 14K. At Hawaii, tandems typically get out at 10K. However, both companies have very experienced TMs. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  22. As mentioned, both companies are fine and offer what you're looking for. PISC is my "home DZ" and we now jump the PAC750XL and still go to 14K EVERY load. There are plenty of fun jumpers here so bring your rig. Word of warning... We are in the winter weather pattern which means stronger than normal winds and increased rain. In fact, we've been gusting up to 35 all week on Oahu. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  23. Ankie indeed set the bar high. I too have benefited from their generous military discount (and plan to again REAL soon). Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  24. Ok... I also have a question. If only a fraction of artists are making real money, then what is with Hip-Hop/Rap artists that seem to be rolling in the green? I see these outrageous houses, cars, and jewelry when "spots" are done on their lifestyle. Is there an imbalance with regards to genres i.e. Hip-Hop/Rap vs. say rock i.e. Nickleback (which I'm not a fan of). Is it all media hype? My perception is Hip-Hop/Rap artists seem to do amazingly well, while other genres just seem to be getting by. Unless you're a MEGA act like Zep, U2, Stones, etc. I'm asking because I really don't understand and am always confused when I see Hip-Hop/Rap artists living large on Cribs, etc. knowing the entertainment industry and artists are having a rough time in general. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  25. Yup... Hawaii. We have two companies operating at the same landing area. You can jump seven days a week here (barring weather). Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
