  1. I to, like Peckerhead, have made many transactions on DZ.com (buying and selling). Never had a problem as I always use Escrow.com. If buyer or seller refuses to use escrow, I move on. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  2. If I had to guess, it's probably a CPS photo http://www.cpsworld.com/ And, not just used by Rangers and Marines. BTW: That is a big ass mannequin More info & pics here... http://www.cpsworld.com/index.php?which=training&packageID=2426 Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  3. Nope, not a Brit... Just happen to like New Castle. And yes, I'll need a place to store and chill the beer. Does the bunk house fill up quick? Or should I just crash at a nearby hotel? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  4. Nice. And, I'm sure you're as hot in the flesh as you are in the pics. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  5. How about New Castle? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  6. Wish I could brother. I'll be flying across the pond, then training elsewhere in Georgia. I'll just have to hope for decent weather the following weekend. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  7. Ok... I fly out tomorrow night to the mainland (after a day of jumping on the North Shore ) for a "conference". After the conference, a friend and I are going to "The Farm" on the weekend of 28 April (any chance of one of the $100+, jump all you want weekends? ). I'll call manifest in a day or two to see about staying in the bunk house. Look forward to meeting some of The Farm regulars that rave about the DZ. Did a quick weather check and it's forecasted to be crap. I just hope weather forecasting is as unreliable there as it is here on the islands. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  8. Are you looking for military type HALO/HAHO jumps or the typically seen/offered "tube to nose" high altitude jumps? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  9. Actually you are a help! I think I'll just call Deland and Lake Wales and get some info. We'll be there Monday through Friday only (weekend prior we'll be at the Farm)... some tunnel and Scott Miller's course will round out the trip. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  10. Probably belongs in General Skydiving, but thought I'd ask here... Are there any DZs in central Florida that operate tailgate aircraft during the week (Mon-Fri)? A couple of us are making the long journey from Hawaii to Florida the first week in May to jump (stopping by Skydive the Farm for 2-days beforehand to see what all the talk is about). I believe Deland has a Skyvan, but not sure if it runs during the week. Can anyone shed some light? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  11. Grilled broad-bill swordfish, lightly steamed asparagus, rice, and a bottle of red. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  12. Well done Max... Very inspiring. Hats off to you and the 101st folks. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  13. Pacific is my home DZ (but I jump Skydive Hawaii as well). If for any reason you are not taken care of, come find me and I'll ensure you're squared away... Even if that means walking you next door. As suggested in other posts, winds tent to pick up late morning/early afternoon and make for some INTERESTING landings for those not accustomed. Both places have rentals, but I suggest you bring your rig if possible. Nothing beats skydiving the North Shore on a clear day. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  14. Thanks for the info all. Looking forward to spending a "fun" weekend at The Farm in April. Since it's my "first" time to The Farm, I guess I owe beer . But, if someone supplies the Coke & ice, I'll bring the Jack. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  15. Speaking of the Farm... A friend and I are traveling from our home DZ in Hawaii to the Farm (heard so much about it, just gotta jump there) on 28 April (early morning) and staying through Sunday evening (we'll be hitting some Florida DZs the week after). Probably a bit early to be asking, but anything exciting planned for that particular weekend; bonfire, boogie weekend... Perhaps a night jump since it's a full moon that weekend (or damn close)? Looking forward to two full days of jumping at The Farm. Is there some cheap lodging nearby or a bunkhouse on the DZ. I would check The Farm website, but it's blocked here at work(?). Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  16. Yeah... Still at PISC. I actually bounce between both as an up-jumper (and no, things aren't any better between the owners... Go figure huh!). We're now doing high altitude out of the King Air at PISC. I'm also putting together the first night jumps in MANY years (I'm sure you know what a hassle that is here!). Going to have some of my young troops light the runway and manage the DZ/LZ. Should be interesting. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  17. Just call Juilo at Liquid Sky. Fantastic suits and great customer service. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  18. Here are a couple of other cool jumper "dolls" HALO Jumper HALO action figure Damn BSBD, that GK figure has got to be worth a few bucks. Nice job keeping them boxed. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  19. Why on earth would that need a response of skydiving to their position and why would they need SCUBA equipment? Am I missing something? Clearly I am I can understand specialist miltary operations and neccesities but rescue missions!? How odd. Scoop - This website may fill in some of your "missing" information. This was a two man jump made about 350 miles from the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. Emergency truma care was provide to a Chinese fisherman. I have additional photos of same op, but to large to upload. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  20. Same here... Error?? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  21. Is the Bill Booth interview not available via YouTube like the others? Great job with the PIA highlights. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  22. At the risk of sounding repetitive, I too will add that Wings is a superbly comfortable container. I have had both Mirage and Infinity and really like the feel of the Wings yoke and MLW. Perhaps the only down side (for me), no SkyHook... yet. In reality, all the top manufactures make solid, well constructed rigs and offer very similar options. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the phenomenal customer service from the folks at Wings, in particular Ankie. I to am active duty and got a great deal, but the comfort, customization, and customer service are what really sold me. When it's time for another container, it will be a Wings. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  23. Anyone have an estimate on how long it would take to drive from Skydive the Farm to Deland? I'm flying back to the mainland (Atlanta area) last weekend in April and really want to hit the Farm. I'd also like to get down to Deland, but not sure if it's just easier to catch a shuttle from Atlanta down to Daytona. I'd also like to check out Z-Hills, etc. Oh yeah... I depart the mainland from Atlanta 5/6 May... Recommendations? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  24. PD; Saber, Saber2, & Silhouette... And a PD Reserve Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  25. Jeth - Just got my new Wings container 2-weeks ago and had to adjust the closing loop. As suggested up thread, it's simple (and an "A" requirement). If unsure any rigger can assist. BTW - love the new container and have put 28 jumps on it since last weekend. Got the pud instead of hackey. Perhaps it's time to revive the "show your Wings" thread? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
