  1. Hey everybody. Not sure if this is in the right place, if not feel free to move it. As of now im 19 years old and I go to mercer county college in NJ for architecture (2nd semester). I currently jump at skydive cross keys and I love it there. Next year I will be transferring to a four year university and ive been kind of stuck on where to go. My choices were Drexel, Temple, or Philadelphia University, because I like the area I live in and I didnt want to go too far from home. But lately, ive been getting different feelings. 2 years ago I visited Whistler Blackcomb in BC, Canada for a snowboarding trip with my family, and I absolutly loved it. I Love the area, the people, and everything about the place. Its just amazing. Ever since then its all I think about. And now instead of transfering to a school in philly im thinking about transfering to the University of British Columbia. It just so happens it has a school of architecture! Wooohoo! Whislter Blackcomb is only 2 hour drive away. Wowww! This place sounds almost perfect! Could it get any better? Yup. Skydive Vancouver is only an hour away!!! This place just seems perfect in every way!!! Its also slightly more affordable than the other schools ive had in mind. However, im a little bit worried about the whole thing. Ive never lived outside of the country before, or even south jersey for that matter. I dont know ANYBODY in Canada and I would be completly alone there. I also have a lovely girl friend here in NJ who ive been with for 2 years. (she goes to school in Westerrn PA.) I really enjoy being with her and ide hate to have to leave her. Basically im just looking for some advice on the whole situation. What do you guys suggest? What would you guys do in my situation? Any advice would be great! Thanks. -Mark
  2. Either way it doesnt make a difference if anything is "staged." The point of the show is to show you how to survive if it ever happens to you, not force it on himself for your viewing pleasure. For example in the rockies episode he throws himself off of a cliff into a river to SHOW YOU what to do if a bear is chasing you. The bear wasnt really chasing him at the time. Bear is the man. Survivor man is good too, but Man Vs. Wild is in my opinion a better and more entertaining show.
  3. I have a math midterm on wednesday. God damnit it sucks! Especially when you have no idea how to do the work!!! GRRRRR!!!
  4. yahhhhh im in vermont skiing and we just got 15" overnight. POWDER!!!
  5. You can NEVER go wrong with having too much counter space. Same goes for cabinets. Get a floor thats easy to clean. Try and keep the sink, oven, and range in places that make sense. The most important thing is having it all flow so just walk around and think about the way you would naturally do it. And remember the kitchen is the most expensive room BY FAR so its going to cost you some big $$$. Lighting is also another very important thing. Its usually a good idea to stay away from an island because it really hurts the flow of the room in 99.9% of the cases. If anything, go for a large counter with stools and maybe a tv.
  6. Take silverware from restaurants for camping utensils. Take sugarpacks and ketchup packets. Take napkins from fast food restaurants. And if your realllly cheap like me: Refil a jug at mcdonalds with iced tea instead of buying it. Sell stuff you got for free on ebay. (I was at a movie theater where they were giving away free posters to promote casino royale. I literally grabbed a stack of them. Sold every one on ebay for like $6. boom couple hundred right there.) Theres free stuff everywhere, and somebody is somplace will almost always be willing to buy it.
  7. at least once a week... As for that stop-the-cops spray crap its fake just so you know. Mythbusters recnetly tested all that crap and none of it works.
