  2. Tina, you are right, that IS beer! 9 week wait huh, bummer, but worth it...congrats! ooohhhno :-)
  3. "Cigar, cigarette,.........." ooohhhno :-)
  4. Eric, I also recently bought a 1987 Raven II main with only 13 jumps on it. It has been packed in it's container since 1988. I sent it in for a complete inspection and the rigger said it was in great condition. There is a bulletin out saying that the slider needed to be changed to a bikini slider which was done for free. As far as openings, I have an exit weight of 210 and as long as the nose is rolled really good, the opening for me have been nice. (unlike my PD 218 seven cell main which can spank a guy real good if one is careful in his packing!) Good luck, ooohhhno :-)
  5. 7 jumps to pass my AFF. Everyone was a sleepless night. Jump 8 was my solo and was one month after jump 7. It took everything I had to go out. Jump number 9 was easier and jump 10, I did a somersault out, went on my back and watched the next guy come out of the plane and the fear was pretty much gone. Much of your fear will go away after your next jump and you will sing all the way home! You need to do this for yourself...go for it!

    Hey look at me!

You are right, you are NOT having fun! The only reason it looks like you are smiling is because you are upside down and gravity is pulling your lips into the smiling position! Cool Pic! ooohhhno :-)
  7. 4500 3500 2500 Still gives me time to think after going, "oh no!" ooohhhno :-)
  8. My DZ requires you to take a make-up course (about an hour) which costs $35. You don't necessarily have to re-take your last jump. A friend who jumps Perris only has to take a similar $35 class but no re-takes. ooohhhno :-)
  9. The crappiest pair of anything I can get a hold of cuz I have a nasty habit of landing in the "pucker bushes" out here in the desert a lot! ooohhhno!
  10. He will be more proud to say that he is a skydiver than a Harley rider, I know, I own several of them and have all but given them up for skydiving. ooohhhno :-)
  11. Got my pilots lic.(single eng. land) in the mid 70s. Put on 85 hours of time before I scared myself so many times that I gave it up. Feel much better jumping out of the darn things than flying them! ooohhhno (ooohhhyeah!)
  12. Keep them coming! Great work! ooohhhno
  13. Dytter! Just got one......nothing like that thing screaming in your ear going through your settings! First time is kinda a rush! Enough to make you jump out of your jumpsuit! Stan :-)
  14. Yikes! My first hand deploy, I couldn't get the thing out of my hand fast enough! :-)
  15. $160 is right, I just sent one in. Send it straight to SKS, they have about a two week turn-around. Stan
  16. I have both a Javelin and Talon II and love them both. No problems with either. Stan
  17. Thanks for all the replys guys....I get the hint, it will be inspected. I don't want to have to use the freeby by a rigger if it fails. :-)
  18. I bought a rig out of Canada, the reserve was repacked in Sept. 2001 in Canada. I know Canadian repacks are good in Canada for 6 months but are they good here in the U.S. at all? My rigger wasn't sure. Thanks, Stan
  19. Anyone out there know anything about a reserve chute made by "The Chute Shop" called the Decelerator (South Africa). Good, Bad????
