reading this i got curious how big they build these things, from wikipedia: The world's largest turbines are manufactured by the Northern German companies Enercon and REpower. The Enercon E112 delivers up to 6 MW , has an overall height of 186 m (610 ft) and a diameter of 114 m (374 ft). The REpower 5M delivers up to 5 MW , has an overall height of 183 m (600 ft) and a diameter of 126 m (413 ft). now thats a huge wind turbine!

I read about a study that showed music can INCREASE your reaction time, specifically rock and metal.. I don't happen to have the study at hand either, read it in a magazine.

Not trying to be a ass, serious question here... What about jumpers that are deaf? Wouldn't listening to music essentially be the same in that you aren't going to hear anything going on around you? Though with music you might be jammin to the tunes and just not paying much attention to your surroundings. Either way, probably not the best idea.

That movie is great! I think it was made really well. His mate is the best part of the movie, reminds me of one of my buddies. It's hilarious when they are in the backyard throwing stuff at the first zombie they see.

Haha, that sucks! That is the exact same shirt I have. The shirt that I wear that really pisses off the cops is my Officer Friendly? shirt. It's got a cop in full armor with an assault rifle and says "OFFICER FRIENDLY?" under the picture. My shirt that says "Cops are assholes" doesn't go over well either. I'm not a big fan of cops obviously... I've been fucked with way to many times when I WASN'T do anything wrong. *Millions of dead cops! Bigots and thugs! On a rampage in the name of drugs!*

Yeah I get that a lot also. I actually got that from a few people on the forums. I get all kinds of looks when I wear my Millions of Dead Cops shirt also. These guys are some good buddies of mine: Recycled Ruins. Pretty good shit, they'd appreciate it if some of you all checked it out. They are pretty fast and loud, influenced by a lot of the bands spoken about here.

Some of us (me) tend to get way to drunk at places we should not. So by drinking light beer I am increasing the amount of time it takes for me to get to the "to drunk" level and therefore possibly avoiding it all together.

FEAR was great, they also did a reunion tour haha. I remember the first show of theirs I went to, my buddy shatter his ankle in three places in the pit. Yeah I'm not big on reunion tours, I also think they need to hang up the towel and have some integrity, then again if a good band comes through on a reunion tour I'll probably go. MDC (Millions of Dead Cops) came through town about a year ago and I had to go check them out. They still rocked out just as good as ever. Bauhaus is great, I have never had the privilege of seeing them live though. That's a whole different kind of music, though good stuff.

All of those are great bands. GWAR puts on an awesome show, something to be seen, not for your average joe that's for sure. GBH, Exploited and Subhumans all played reunion tours recently, they were all great. One band I wish would get back together and play a reunion tour, though I know it will never happen, is Operation Ivy. They were amazing. Anyone into Leftover Crack? Formerly Chocking Victim. They are a blast.

Well the Oi I can understand, not to many people that are into Oi. Lot of skinheads listen to it. By skinheads I don't mean racist neo-nazi pieces of shit (they stole the true skinhead image and gave the term a bad name), I mean real skinheads (If you don't know what a real skinhead is please look it up before talking trash, they are not racist hate mongers). Children of Bodom I will also give you, they are a relatively new Metal band from Finland... But Biohazard? You haven't heard of Biohazard? You have probably heard of the singers wife: Tera Patrick (porn star) My user name is also a hardcore band from NYC. Oh yeah, Iced Earth, they are basically a rip off of Iron Maiden. They aren't bad, they just aren't as kick ass as Iron Maiden.

If you are into the history and origins of a lot of the music, movements and bands this is an excellent book. About 330 pages packed full of pictures and history on every important punk/hardcore/metal/oi and every sub-genre band from the beginning till about 1987.

Minor Threat is one of my all time favorites. Even though I'm not sXe (straight-edge) and don't really like the whole scene and movement. I have to give them mad props, even if Ian started that whole "don't drink, don't smoke, don't fuck" garbage. Another band that is similar style (although I think a lot better) to ST is Biohazard. Their first album is one of my favorite cd's to listen to. East coast always kicks west coast's ass when it comes to metal and hardcore. What else are you all into? Anyone into Oi? Templars, Cock Sparrer, Oi Scouts, 4 Skins, Combat 84? To name a few.. I've been listening to a lot of Children of Bodom lately, anyone into them? They put on a kick ass show, even though they played with Iced Earth and opened with only a 30 minute slot. Misfits 77-83 (danzig) is my hands-down favorite.

That dog looks silly walking around like that! Awesome dog though, I've been trying to teach my dog to walk around on her back legs. She can only do it for a few seconds and a few feet. Maybe I need to duct tape her legs to her side.
