I whole heartedly agree that everyone there will be well qualified to help you with what you want to achieve. I've flown with Matt, Dan, and Derek and all were great and I learned so much from all three it's ridiculous. Remember to have fun, shouldn't be hard though! Less talking, more flying.

I'd say it is, only with a lot more beer and shenanigans. I came from a flying background as well before skydiving, and pretty much agree with what has been said already. It seems to me that patterns are tough for some to grasp but coming from a pilots background it should be pretty straight forward. You'll have a better understanding of the flare and what's going on landing as well. Less talking, more flying.

I went for tunnel time for the first time at 15ish jumps, and I found entering the tunnel to be much more difficult than exiting a Cessna. With an exit from a plane you are out in float position and you basically let go, arch and you're golden. You're belly is already to the wind, all you have to do is find your stable arch (which with tunnel time shouldn't be a problem). Entering the tunnel the first few times was awkward for me since you have to make that transition from being vertical to horizontal while pushing yourself into the airstream which is sorta "fighting back". The reason I ask about the Wings is I know the reserve set up is very similar to a Javelin so I figured it might be doable... Less talking, more flying.

Take my word for what it is as I'm a low timer, but I say the best course of action is to just get out to the DZ every weekend or every chance you get and jump your ass off. That A license will come faster than you might think, As far as a career, I doubt you'll make much of a living at it, but I'm not the right person for advice on that. I say get yourself into the sport seriously, and then take a look at skydiving as a career later on. Less talking, more flying.
