Ok, I'm going to be 46 real quick, my kids are 10 and 11, boy and girl respectively. So you see it was mid 30's for me. As far as being to old to play aggressively, GET A GRIP!!! I can still play as good as anyone at the DZ and at home. And my kids are getting the experience that can teach them how to have way more fun than most thier age. Skydiving, explosives, and guns, how much more fun can a kid have. Of course I hope that I am teaching how to love and share of themselves also but only time will tell. As for the pic, here you go... You must remember that in order for many of the arguments, pro and, con that you read here, the presenters of those arguments can not refer back to the founding fathers documented arguments. If they did they would have to admit the flaws in thier arguments. The fact of the matter is, after years of bastardizing the process of selecting our representatives, two major parties control our government. Both of those parties philosophies are developed by a very small minority of their so called members. It is also true that both of those parties are funded almost the same "special interest groups" as no matter the outcomer of an election "they" still want thier finger in the pot so to speak. I love my guns, I love the liberties that I am still allowed. I love the people who faithfully still defend those liberties and they are not in Washington, but around the world giving thier lives daily. Some have said well there are other political parties, one of those I am a member of, the libertarians. But if you really look at it these other parties are effectivly locked out of the process especially at the local levels where these parties need to mature. Laws passed by the major parties that control the process make it difficult to get candidates on many ballots. Take for example where I live. If your party was on a previous election ballot a new candidate for that party does not have to present a petition signed by a certain number of registered voters to be put on the ballot. However, if your party was not on the ballot you musst secure 3000 "verified" signatures. Now if you get the signatures that are also challenged by the other 2 parties. They normally tie the petition up until after the filing deadline, thus no third party candidate to choose from. No, the entire system is not what our forefathers thought it would be, but it is still the best in the world in my opinion. And yes I will always own my guns because the only truth is that you can never trust a politician. Wish that were true Trent. Unfortunately I have spent many years watching the board do many things that piles of "skydivers" did not "support". Does piles of skydivers constitute a majority. Hard to say. Truth is once you get the power your hearing often gets much worse than when you just wanted the power. Not bashing here, just calling em like I see em. And I have seen the board do good things over the years, just to keep balance in my statement. Hopefully they will do what is in the best interest of the U.S. team in this instance. Yeah, we're out there. I've been at it for 23 years. And there are a lot of people I know who have been around longer. Thing is that no matter what you do you learn more aboutg life. Eventually you realize there is more to life than the DZ. I have jumped every single year that I have been in the sport. Some more some less. Over those years my life has changed, and my priorities with it. Children came along, they need time, but they also love coming to the DZ with me. It's great that our DZ has activities for them and the whole family. I have lots of old friends that have retired that I still spend great time with (mostly we blow airports up for airshows). Throughout all the changes in my life though, one thing remains constant... I love to skydive. I am trying out more freeflying these days but still am a RW nut. I love the look on the faces of novices after a skydive new skill is realized, as well as the look on my old buddies faces after a kick ass funnel... If the time comes to quit it is because that is what your life is about...it is not something to fear, not something to be sad about, you don't loose the friendships, trust me. It is just where your life is taking you...so sit back and enjoy... My answer is not here...the mind is a powerful tool, just takes you places sometimes at a moments notice, at the wrong time...if there is such a thing as the wrong time.
