I learned during AFF...everyone would help me and then we would pull it out and do it all over again. Perry T wouldn't sign off until I jumped one I had packed....scary. Now they are doing a "packing class" that they charge for. If I hadn't packed myself a mal I would take those newbies and show them how to do it, but since I screwed up I don't think I am qualified.

We have a guy at our DZ who makes canopies and does serious mods to existing ones. He is great. The guy who makes slinks is also at our DZ. They both have REAL jobs but they are good at their second job too. Drop me your email and I'll forward the request to them this weekend.

You guys have a pool TOO. I'm moving. Anyone need a big house in the middle of GA? You all start looking for teaching positions for me and a house close to the DZ nowhere near LAX since I was there for the quake. I am JEALOUS.......

If you have been paying attention you willnotice that we all get that way after a few days away from jumping. It is an addiction. The nerves will go away as soon as you leave the door and soar with the eagles.

I would think something made out of the same stuff as your jumpsuit or canopy. Put the letters on it, put holds like your cutaway (or some sort of bungi) on it at the bottom, stow it in your jumpsuit, launch, unfold it for the video, then put it back to deploy. Just curious...is there a lucky lady we need to know about?

Where is the pool in all this action?? Wish my DZ had a pool...the life!!!

Thanks Geek...I would have gotten around to being exact later, but the pool was just more important at the time.

I agree a pool is lots of work but great when you want to lay out in private so I sacrifice. It is hotter than heck out there so HAD to run in for a cold one. Summer in GA....even the pool is hot.

We will be at Skydive ATL doing the same. I have almost 200 and need to pass the test!!

Again I have to say I agree, except that most guys think if you son't sleep with them fairly early on then they are going to move on to "greener pastures". Just my observation. Granted I can talk trash with the best of the guys. Anyway...one day some guy is going to knock me off my feet and some girl is going to knock you off your feet. You sound like you are ready to accept that risk. I'm still working on that issue; however, things are getting better. As for my day...I'm headed to the pool for some sun. Life is dull here so the pool is a good escape. Housework just can't rate compared to the pool. How about yours?? Working or playing??

I've met the DZO Phil when he came out for a freinds funeral. He seemed like a nice enough guy under the circumstances, especially since we were all still shook up. There is a WONDERFUL camera guy from there, Skycam3, by the name of Tony. SUPER person. If you see him tell him Lisa said HI and ROADTRIP. I don't think you could find a better person if you looked for the rest of your life. Have fun and be safe.

Check out the ratings...she has you beat honey. Sorry about your tail bone. I busted in on my first landing and couldn't sit for months. (NO, JKA it was not in the jumpsuit you bought so don't worry!) Guess most of us have been there so at least you are in good company.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.....FYI they are not always honest when it comes to pies so watch for someone trying to set up a picture....they may be setting you up!
