    little johnny

so little johnny was in school and the teached was going over an English lesson.. Teacher: Ok, class... can anyone use the word 'definitely' in a sentence? little johnny was about jumping out of his seat waiting to answer... but the teacher, warned of his usual off color responses picked Suzie first. Suzie: "umm.... the grass is DEFINITELY green?" she asked Teacher: while that is a great try its not totally correct... sometimes in the winter the grass turns brown so its not always true... anyone else? johnny was hootin' and raising his hand as high as possible... Teacher: ok.. how about you... Corrine Corrine: "Umm... the sky is DEFINITELY blue...?" Teacher: "again, that is a good try, but at night it is more black, and when its cloudy it can be white or grey... but great try... anyone else" with all of the other kids puzzled, little johnny still had his hand raised high. Teacher: "ok Johnny..what is your answer?" Little Johnny... "uhhhh... OH!... umm.. Are farts lumpy?" the teacher taken aback says: "no johnny farts are NOT lumpy" Little Johnny: "Well, Then I DEFINITELY shit my pants.." _________________________________________ this space for rent.

  3. ok...just useless information: the largest tumor ever removed from a human was over 300 LBS and left the operating room on a seperate stretcher than the patient! the longest freefall survived by a human without a parachute was over 24,000 feet (if my memory serves me correctly). she was an airline attendent in 1978 or 79 when the DC-3 (could be mistaken again on the aircraft) broke up in flight and was the only survivor. cockroaches will live for days without their head until they simply starve to death. if you put an emperor scorpion in a tank with a rose hair tarantula the scorpion will win every time scotch tape (when peeled in a vaccum) is now known to have x-ray characteristics and capabilities _________________________________________ this space for rent.

  5. ok... what can you put in a barrel that CAN be seen by the naked eye, yet is colorless, tasteless and odorless, and if you put it in the barrel it will make the barrel lighter? _________________________________________ this space for rent.

  11. he forgot to point out: most girls are evil squirting milk out your nose is a good ice breaker if you know how to tie your shoes, its a definite plus getting regular milk instead of chocolate makes you seem more sophisticated long distance relationships rarely work, so pick a girl in your own home room recess is where "players" are made dont settle for the part of "tooth decay" in your school play a $1.25 in lunch money does not make you a "baller" _________________________________________ this space for rent.

  13. Here is one of mine... its got a really solid tempo...kinda like slam poetry.. lemme know what you think! Driving… with the dotted line, passing by That ticks away, unnoticed and unseen To everyone and anyone, but you and me. Will it burn and churn inside your stomach Like a meal that sits awkwardly? Will you walk with me, talk with me Learn with me, burn with me As the fire that scorns my finger tips, that miss your lips When thrown out with a carless reach into the deep abyss That we have accepted as a hit or miss relationship? Or has it just been said, with fear in our hearts and our heads Exploding from side to side, in my mind With no care for kind That the concept is understood, whether wanting to follow it Or break it if I could Ill just lay myself back to bed. Ill hope to dream, for what it seems Could possibly grace me, my life, my time On this earth In search Of what so many have found That lifts them up, yet keeps them earth bound. Grounded. With a positive and negative Co-existing in a working pair A circle perspective, or directive That gives balance and order To what insists to take over. A force to be reckoned with- Are you a fighter, a biter, a kicker, a scratcher Will you claw your way to make ends meet? Or will you subside inside yourself-beside yourself To ease the discomfort of a thousand nails Piercing and depressing, messing and compressing The best thing Your flesh that covers you and me Do you see the ties that bind a forbidden lie Yet bond the kindest of minds In a unity That definitely Could lead you and me To see and be Everything? Or will my drive, in good time Return my mind To where it started… a stop sign? The only answer to wait upon Has been so long Overdue For me and you In only a second or two And always falls back to the light in my head, or a chime.. …yes… time. _________________________________________ this space for rent.

  16. Ok Im bored... so here is my list: Annoying: stupid drivers, dirty dishes in the kitchen sink, overly loud people, fighting over what to eat for dinner, working...anything to do with my 6'x6' pushpin cubical cell, people who get more sleep than me, people who talk about the weather, hypocondriacts (sp?), spell check (lol), text messages that come out of order, animals that go to the bathroom on the floor, cat hair on my clothes, creeky hardwood floors, cold weather without snow, telemarketers, companies that call themselves marketing firms that are door to door sales, missing caps on my pens, my bosses laugh (like nails on a chalkboard), irrational women, women who excuse being mean because of PMS, people who borrow things and dont give them back, being late, other people being late, waiting in line for anything, telephones that ring all the time, people who answer the phone durring a nice meal, messed up covers and sheets on the bed, light coming in the bedroom window while sleeping, pens that run out of ink, the taste of stamps, licking envelopes, gas prices, when my fingernails are too long, hang nails, my expanding waistline, computers that are slow, slow internet connections, almost everything in Houston, TX, my ex-wife, weak coffee, smelling like cigarettes (even though I smoke), arguments about somthing that happened more than a week ago, arguments that I loose, wasting resources, people who dont recycle, people who have more money than they know what to do with, drugs, people who cant handle alcohol, people who dont know when to stop, starting to play a song (guitar) and being interrupted, changing the radio station a million times before switching back to the first song you were listening to. I suppose I could go on and on with this list, but Id be surprised if anyone reads this much.. Likes: candy and sunrise _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    burned out

I have been out this long and I just dont look at the sky the same. I was getting pretty good when I quit and I know I would be starting back quite a bit in freefly and swooping.. not like Im going to go back out and within a few weekends be swooping like I was a couple years ago.. I also have a 1 year old now, and while many skydivers have kids I dont want to risk hurting myself badly or worse and leave my fiance and baby girl without me to support them... I also dont have the time and money anymore, but I am sure I will occasionally stop by the dropzone to say hi to old friens, and this site has actually got me back in touch with a few.. _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    burned out

Well... funny thing... I just decided to hop on here and see if anything new has happened and what do I see? this post I started years and years ago. Crazy. So here is the DL: I have stopped jumping. I sold my gear and everything. In fact there were a few close skydivers that I gave a handfull of gear to just as a thank you for being such a good frind in the sport...you know who you are:) I have about 150 hours flying helicopters now, but my school went bankrupt (perhaps you have heard of the silver state helicopter scams) and I am now in limbo flying while I am in the middle of a 350 million dollar lawsuit Whoever brought this thread back to life was right...the friends that I made and only skydove with and nothing else have since parted ways. I have met quite a few fantastic and talented people in my years of skydiving, but those who I only interacted with at the DZ have never kept in touch (I suppose that is a bit my fault too). This website was something that I cast away with my skydiving career, but recently decided to check back in once and a while to see how people were doing. The wife referrenced in my original post is no longer my wife. we divorced a couple years ago-due to several things, but I am now with a fantastic woman and mother to my 15 month old daughter :):):) I have relocated back to the mid-west: indianapolis to be exact. I am a proud first time home owner now too. kinda crazy that this thread came back alive... I have only been on this site like 3 times in the past 3 years..once about a month ago as already stated. I dont plan to get back into skydiving. It gave me some of the most memorable moments of my life and contributed amazingly to who I am no...I do admit, that I miss the sky, the people, the friendships, the boogies, the partying, even packing in the blistering heat with sweat dripping off my chin (but anyone that knows me know that I was never one to be too particular with my own psyco packjobs averaging about 5 minutes from start to finish) I am glad to see some things will never change, but as I brouse the site I am dissapointed that other things will always stay the same. so... to sum it up... THANK YOU! thanks for all the great times and memories and I hope the sky and everyone I shared it with misses me as much as I miss you. _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    long time...

I moved to Indiana. Have a one year old girl and stuck yet again in the 9-5 grind. It's a good life tho. I have the stories and memories of the sport to keep it alive in my heart. I just can't bring myself to get back into the sport. Too many things to people that hit so close to home. Not to mention at the pace I was going I'd either be a pro or dead. LOL _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    long time...

it's been years so I thought I would hop on and say hi. I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't jumped in years but I now have my private and almost commercial in rotocraft so I still get air time. Well that's all for now... _________________________________________ this space for rent.
