  2. Oh, man! That's brilliant... Just off the top of my head... "RUN FOR IT MARTY! IT'S THEM!!" (1st warning) "WHO? WHO?" (second warning) "THE LIBYANS!!!" (flatline) At pull time: (Because the Neptune doesn't go off when you exit the plane) William Wallace, from Braveheart: FREEEEEEDOMMMMM!!!!! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 3. Oh, great! I can work! Oh. Great. I can work. wa hoo. Shit. Heh. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  4. I don't have a laptop so I've never inquired about WiFi. Sorry, I don't know! No worries... Based on a simple Algorythm, there's a Starbucks somewhere within a 10 mile radius of everywhere. So I'm sure I can find one. Thanks! See you then! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  5. Stupid question (Actually, Geek question - don't have a choice but to ask...) Does Skydive Seb have WiFi? I'll have to work at least an hour of Firday... And if it's gonna rain, then definitely will get some work done. Is there WiFi there? Thanks! (ntrprnr the Dork.) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 6. Her name is Rio... And she dances on the sand... Grin. Gorgeous rig!! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  8. I know I'll owe beer for this, but here-goes... I'm registered for the Pyro Boogie, and yes, it's my FIRST boogie. So in the interest of starting good vibes early, I offer my rent-a-car - I'm coming in on Thursday afternoon into Orlando airport. Flight gets in at 4:45pm. If anyone's coming in on or around that time (figure +/- 2 hours or so) and needs a ride, I'm happyy to provide. Flying out Monday afternoon, same offer applies. Looking forward to meeting everyone/experiencing it all. Please don't poke the newbie. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  9. Exactly - Karma eats like it's going out of style, too fast, and pukes it back up. NASA, her brother (the one in my icon) takes his time, and only pukes if he chews on plastic bags. Stupid cats. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  10. My cat is Kate Moss. Feed her, and on average, twice a week, she pukes it back up. Vet says it's normal. If she starts blowing lines with a credit card on the couch, I'm really going to get nervous. Or maybe sign her to Elite Model Management... One of the two... _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  11. Phuket, Thailand. In about a second. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  12. I found maggiejumps.blogspot.com a number of months ago - it's not so much about skydiving anymore, as it is about her life... She's the girlfriend of Jason Yasuda... _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  13. Yeah, but it's fun to hijack their bluetooth connections when you're sitting in Starbucks. A basic laptop with BT built in can do it. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  14. Back in 1998, had a wireless company as a client. They'd given me a prototype headset to try. Put it in my ear, made a call. Very cool. Started using it all the time. About a week later, I'm watiing for a car to pick me up, another client had sent a car for me. Limo pulls up. I'm on my headset. I wave at the driver, grab my bag, and start walking towards the car, while talking into the headset. Driver sees me, watches for a second, and literally PEELS out of there, tires screaching. I'm standing there like, "WTF?" I find out later that he refused to pick up the deranged guy he saw talking to himself. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 16. If my self-image wasn't so horribly skewed that I didn't believe I would empty not only the plane, but the drop-zone, town, and surrounding suburbs when people saw me naked, sure, I'd gladly be up for it. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 17. I created a Dropzone.com Frappr page for kicks. Mostly because I'm bored as hell. Searched on the forums for one, doesn't seem that anyone's created one yet. http://www.frappr.com/dropzonedotcom Have fun - represent where y'all from. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 18. Not a doctor either, but isn't it the same reason drug addicts need more and more of a drug they're addicted to over time? Body sets tolerances... _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  19. Helmet Altimeter Goggles Rule of 3's 3 rings 3 rings 3 metals (chest, leg, leg) 3 others (goggles, altimeter, helmet) (and yes, I reealize the helmet is optional for some of you.) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  20. Perhaps this is me just getting schmaltzy, but if everyone who used skydivingmovies.com as a source of adrenaline during the workday (like me) donated a buck or two to Matt, perhaps he can go out and buy a new server. Believe me, I use my fair share of bandwidth on his site - mostly because I'm totally ADHD - and I know what it's like to have to pay for those kind of pipes. Seems to me like Matt's been nothing but gracious in hosting/running the site - he's never asked for a donation, as far as I can tell - even more of a reason to give him one. You can paypal him at matthewcrocker.com - Look, a few bucks a piece won't kill us, right? Sorry if I'm soapboxing - just seems like he does quite the decent job for all of us. Matt, if I'm stepping on your toes or anything, I apologize, mods, feel free to delete. Just thought you should be recognized for what you give to us as a community. Edited because when I come back from the gym, I'm so hyped that I can't spell for sh%t. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  21. I thought the same thing - especially after getting nailed for 70 in a 55. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  24. Actually, I specifically asked the packer if she was rolling the nose - she said no, she never does on an SF2... Oh well - It's still an awesome wing. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  25. Hey gang... I'm jumping a Safire 2, 229. Out the door weight is about 230. When I bought the rig about 4 months ago, out the door weight was around 255. (I did a bit of radical dieting.) Now, most every time I open, I'm getting lots of end cell closures. Nothing a flare won't fix, but the slider comes down about 2/3rds, hangs out there, until I flare. Annoying if I want to coast without releasing my brakes. Is it possible that this is happening due to the canopy now being too "big" for me? I.e., 25 orr so pounds lighter I am? I don't know enough to know if that's even a relevant amount of weight to have any effect. Was going to downsize to a 209 sometime soon, anyway... Probably late spring - really want to be great on my current wing before I even consider going lower... Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Thanks much! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
