  1. Been there and I do recall last time I was passing through they decided to shoot my truck up and attempted to blow me up with a suicide car bomber so my answer would be SURE WHY NOT. Only if I get to carry a gun and get to shoot those that get in my way of landing. Stay safe my unit is training now for it's second tour. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  2. Jim, I'll make it a clicky for you. Oh, thanks for not getting any pics of my good side. share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8IatGrNs4cObg Safe Docks, Scott CSA #699 Muff #3804
  3. The boogie was a a hit if you ask me as for jump numbers you got more than me only got 19 CRW and one freefall (last jump of boogie). CSA #699 Muff #3804
  4. 62 hours 1 minute till my scheduled take off. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  5. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. After 2 surgeries and 7 weeks of chemotherapy for cancer (Dec. 99 - May 00) a year in rehab for my back wasn't so bad. I can still jump even if it is limited and that I thank the Lord for. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  6. I have a gun too. Curt I know the camp your at I spent lots of time there hauling fuel. Loved to watch you all at night take off with after burners on and watch a blue streak go through the sky. Stay safe and keep away from the incoming mortars they like your camp a lot or maybe just when I was there. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  7. NO, I have seen pics of the 85-way but only on the CRW web site, Parachutist and Skydiving mag. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  8. We had a blind ass standing in the road while on a fuel mission (Iraq) every truck swerved either side of it trying not to hit it and hoping it wouldn't blow up. Well it decided to start walking and that it did right into the side of a trailer. It spun around so fast from the impact it looked like it was a top. Good thing it had four legs because it used them all to try and keep from falling over. CSA #699 Muff #3804

  10. A packet is just that. A packet of paperwork. To go to schools in the military you have a lot of tape to go through. The packet will usually have a lot of your personal information that is needed when you inprocess at the school you're attending. I'll just take a guess as to what you would probably need to have in the packet- orders sending you to the GK tryouts, your last APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test) test score, your free fall log book to include your license rating, enlistment orders saying that you have at least 3 years left in service (GK is a 3 year contract), any physical profiles (what you can't do physically) and maybe latest promotion orders. Not sure what else but I'm willing to bet I have missed a few things. Hope I answered your question. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  11. Just a quick hijack How was Lake Whales? weather ever clear up? It's spelled hybrid not hubreds. Do a spell check CSA #699 Muff #3804
  12. I know most photos I have seen do and those that know the small difference between the two formations can tell. Not a big deal as I wasn't in either one but with the Lords Blessing I hope to be a part of the 100-way. If you haven't seen any of the video of it yet you should. It too is of the sunset load 81-way and is beautiful. What a team way to go everyone CSA- Christian Skydivers Association CSA #699 Muff #3804
  13. I have to give Dave his due. Not sure what he was doing and I don't want to know either but I know he was doing something right because I could hear YOU moaning from outside his trailer at LP. I had to go someplace else to finish brushing my teeth. Dave you the man CSA #699 Muff #3804
  14. They make it all so easy don't they. There training tunnel was 2 miles down the road from my barracks and I used to hear it going all the time. Always wanted to go in it . CSA #699 Muff #3804
  15. It was my dream to be a GK but after breaking my T 12, L 1-2 while in Iraq it would never come true. Spent the last year in rehab and was medically discharge last Monday 23 Jan. As for the try outs GOOD LUCK it is a month long smoke session. I hope you can do lots of pull-ups and flutter kicks because your going to get very intimate with the both of them. Oh, and bring a polishing rag with you as you will get the privilege to shine up all the GK trophies. Remember the GK are about team work and working well together. Show them you have the skills that are needed as well as the heart. Help encourage others who are having a tuff time and be a leader. Let them know who you are why your there but don't shine to much if you know what I mean. I suggest work on your accuracy and get some tunnel time. I called them and had them send me a couple of there RW block moves and highlight videos. Not a bad DVD if your into 4-way. Wish you the best of luck I hope your dream comes true. Sgt. RedBull

Dude lay off the red Bull I know this from personal experience and have other friends who's health as been effected by it. While in Iraq and while on convoy we would drink Red Bull and other soda to help stay awake for those long 5 plus hour drives. A single Red Bull will up your blood sugar by 100 points. I have had two very close friends who drank the stuff like it was water over there and started to have health problems. They both now have diabetes and we feel it is a result of to much sugar from the Red Bulls. So please drink strait shots of coffee if you need the caffeine that bed. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  19. Oh, that whuffo look SO reminded me of a story. I was on a puddle jumper from Fayetteville, NC to Atlanta with about eight guys who has just finished the Special Forces selection course. Well a month in the bush made them want to have some fun so when the fasten seat belt sign came on for landing we all started to freak out. We started talking to each other about our fear of landing and where the parachutes were on the plane. How we need to jump the plane was going to crash and we need to get some chuts and jump. Well after a few minutes of talking loudly to one another a flight attendant came back and asked us to tone it down a bit we were scaring some of the passengers. With smiles we high fived each other it was great. Add- I like the window at the back of the plane. I want to watch the luggage be loaded so I can see my things being put on the plain. I once had my bag busted open and all my stuff hanging out. I could see my ali sitting on top as it was going up the conveyer. The flight attendant didn't believe me when I said my bag was busted open and I wanted to see my bag NOW to look for any missing items. She called the pilot and I guess he went down to have a look. Said Yes, the bag was busted open but everything looked to be there. How the hell does he know what I had in there. CSA #699 Muff #3804

  21. You might be a Red Neck if the deer you hit with your car and stuffed in the back seat wakes up and bites you in the back of the neck. Reminds my of the movie Tommy Boy. CSA #699 Muff #3804
