Ladies, gentlemen...I give you the reason. Democrats are more frustrated because they realise there isn't always an easy answer for life's problems. Republicans just want to shoot/bomb shit and let people take care of themselves. This is a much more pleasent thing to do. If you're frustrated you can just go over to your buddies, be angry together and rejoice about the fact that the US of A is the most powerful nation in the world and poor people suck. I can agree with that. That leaves the question as to where we draw the line. I suppose we can all agree that the guys making these vids, selling these vids, or demanding/buying these vids deserve no treatment. We should all create a perfect world where everything dangerous or unhealthy is forbidden. No cigs, no drugs, no booze, no skydiving, no motorbikes, no sex without a condom unless you're married, no guns, no weapons what so ever. Diet soda, no BBQ's, no fries and burger places, cars run on electricity from windmills and their maximum speed is 55Mph (electronically reduced to 30mph when in the city). Movies and videogames should be constructive and non-violent, all full contact sports are outlawed, football is replaced by touch-football. Depends on the nature of the abuse and the psyche of the abuser. Raping toddlers on demand should probably get you killed. I think a difference should be made between child molesters and pedo's. The first category can not be healed and should therefor be punished severely and without remorse. The second category falls under sexual orientation and something can be done about this. Therefor they should be punished and treated. Please be aware that I am trying to be pragmatic about this. If a pedophile raped my kid I probably wouldn't talk about treatment as my only thought would be on vengeance and torture. But that's just the way it is, isn't it? (Did not take into account that I believe death can never be a punishment since we are all walking dead people...)

Hay guys, I'm just a wannabe and all...but consider this. In "a year in the life off" Jeb Corliss hits the falls. In the latest movie (the one with the duane footage) he talks about letting his left shoulder drop. Dropped left shoulder, went left. Take care!!!!

He didn't use the persons name, or identify them. There might have been other people with similar thoughts or questions, but who hadn't asked them. He shared a fairly good bit of useful information that would help people in the same situation, but who were not the original sender of the PM. So, I'd justify it by saying he was trying to share information more widely than just a PM, and doing so without sharing the identity of the person who asked the question. I actually do that quite a lot, when I start a post with "one of my friends asked me..." and go on to post the discussion that I had originally just written as a response to them privately, but then decided that others might also find it useful or helpful . Hahaha, oh wow.

First of all...what an intense movie. The intro was (a little) fucked up. I mean...here you guys are...preaching your ethics, saying the press/publicity is bad, can't show the location of sites etc etc. And 1 minute into the movie they've shown sites, used the word death/die/killed a few dozen times and they actually showed somebody killing himself. Well...the fraction of a second he impacted they cut out and it was replaced by scene description by Jeb. "I looked and saw a severed leg..." etcetc. Don't get me wrong. I liked the movie...it wasn't all sensation. But there was a PLENTY of it. That is "sensation" according to 90% of the people visiting these boards preaching their sermons. Sensation as in "telling it like it is, showing it like it happens". I don't mind...at all. I think Jeb Corliss (who I do not know) is a pretty righteous man who needed to give this a place. Maybe this documentary is part of that. But 90% of the people who saw this remembered only one thing: "Basejumping is lethal and these guys are crazy". So...to answer to add to the debate: I think a LOT of basejumpers are self-righteous instead of righteous. It seems these so called base ethics are sometimes forgotten by people who like to preach them the most. And I know not everyone is judged the same way. I know this is not restricted to BASE...it's just the way things are. By the way I don't see anything wrong with this movie or Jeb's activities. But I can't be bothered (nor am I hypocritical enough to do it) with bashing this Felix because he does a legal jump from some mexican building. The commentaries on SDM, some of them anyway, are just embarrassing. As are some of the posts on this board. But what do I know...I'm not a basejumper...
