  1. This is so true and these two ladies know what they are talking about. When we were 20 I'm pretty sure we all thought that those transitions and hard openings and landings would never catch up to us... 10 plus years later it's another story haha. I love participating in skydiving tunnel flying and BASE jumping and yoga had helped me to stay involved and feeling good. When I get those aches and pains and think...oh man this sport is catching up to me... it's usually because I haven't been keeping up with my yoga practice. Having a way to balance out our bodies and combat all of the impact that we put our bodies through is in my opinion the only way to be able To make this a true lifetime activity. Thanks for sharing your experience ladies love you both 😘
  2. Wow...I think that was the most entertaining reading I've ever done on this forum...I agree. Lets hear more history and stories! I was having a conversation with someone the other day about how people who are young in the sport (like me) don't know much about how it came about and aren't familiar with many of the names from the first few generations of BASE. The fact that BASE jumping is young enough for us to hear stories from the people who were there in the beginning is amazing and we should take advantage of that! Thank you guys for the stories. Chad, great topic! "They will soar on wings like eagles..."
  3. Just to give a report from Baffin... half of the team is on our way home/hawaii for the funeral. We've made it to Clyde River so far. Jimmy, Chris and I were on a 3 way wingsuit jump when we lost him. I'm so sorry to everyone who knew Jimmy, I'm so honored to have spent the last few weeks with such an incredible man. 10. we've got a group of monkeys in nor cal that are planning to be there over thanksgiving "They will soar on wings like eagles..."
  11. I think that you should go to the person if you have a problem with them...if that doesn't work then go to the authorities...but only if there is truely someone putting peoples lives in danger. Otherwise it's like your friend getting home safe after driving with a few beers...and instead of talking to them about what they did you call the cops over to test and arrest them. It's pretty lame. For those of you who are pilots of any kind you know that the FAA is a BIG DEAL, talking to them means that they MUST take action. They can't just leave complaints sitting. You are messing with someones lisence, job and life when you give the FAA a call. I think we all owe it to eachother as people with a common passion for flight to approach one another before the authorities. "They will soar on wings like eagles..."
  12. I had the pleasure of meeting Peter just over a week ago in Switzerland at the Horner, what an incredibly talented and humble man. He was always the first one there waiting for 7:30am load. It sounds like he made quite an impact on everyone he met and will be remembered and missed. I'm so sorry about this loss...my prayers go out to his friends and family.
