Yes and with a bicycle it takes even longer...
-
1400 miles. Most people in ICE cars spend at least that amount of time stretching legs, eating etc on a 1,400 mile road trip.
-
That is a long way of typing: "No, I don't understand."

Did Trump rape a woman? Did Biden get convicted about lying about not keeping classified information? Do you understand the concept of mens rea?
-
Correct, but he has been convicted of lying about not raping a woman. The lying is a crime, the rape is a crime, but has passed the statute of limitations. What has Biden been convicted of in court?

You would have to go by merit as opposed to party affiliation. But regardless, even without party affiliations, people will generally form caucuses under these types of systems.

"California’s landmark residential solar initiative has been held up as one of the most ambitious and effective government policies ever adopted to stave off the worst impacts of the climate crisis in the U.S., considering the state’s outsize footprint in the global economy." Leads to: "But the California Public Utilities Commission, or CPUC, bowed to demands from Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric to roll back those incentives."

The development I live in is all on 100amp panels. I have neighbours running heat pumps/AC, hot tubs and car charges of that 100 amp panel....(including off course a washer/dryer as well...though stoves are gas)

Ahh yes, the United States of America's superior governance system.

By that definition Trump is a progressive, considering he is talking about using the force of the State to alter society.

Republicans formalise Biden Impeachment inquiry…
SkyDekker replied to jakee's topic in Speakers Corner
An opinion piece in The Hill is your "evidence?" As an opinion piece tends to be it is a little heavy on conjecture, but at least did mention that Shokin was generally disliked for not doing enough to fight against corruption. His commentary, without backing of any evidence, that in this case though he was really, really close to actually doing something rings a little hollow don't you think? As has been pointed out a few times, removing Shokin was a policy goal even from camps not "controlled" by Biden and likely prior to Hunter getting a "job" on the board. -
I am with Nigel99, I also think Trump will win.

Republicans formalise Biden Impeachment inquiry…
SkyDekker replied to jakee's topic in Speakers Corner
I am not an accredited scientist like yourself, but I seem to remember that the person making a claim has to provide evidence to support their claim. Is that no longer correct, or are you used to just being believed at face value in your circles? I'll await evidence for: "He is on the record demanding the resignation of the Ukrainian prosecutor whose corruption investigation threatened Hunter's business dealings, withholding $1 B of US aid as leverage." -
Who could have known an international website for skydiving isn't the best source for balanced discussion about US politics?

Republicans formalise Biden Impeachment inquiry…
SkyDekker replied to jakee's topic in Speakers Corner
Not reported, he addressed it head on and released his academic file. Shows mediocre grades and mixed reviews from professors. That shows balls and an ability to face adversity and deal with it. The university at the time investigated and ruled at the time. You would think that if this is such a huge issue for you, you would know this. https://www.nytimes.com/1987/09/18/us/biden-admits-plagiarism-in-school-but-says-it-was-not-malevolent.html This has been debunked so many times now. Makes me wonder if your claim of high regard for intellectual honesty has any truth at all. -
Republicans formalise Biden Impeachment inquiry…

Ahh the "I know and you are too stupid to understand" reasoning so common from you. ELI5 for us dumb people won't you. Noblesse oblige, after all. -
And only in a righty brain is that definitive, in a lefty brain that means it is not definitive.

Depending on context, don't think it is hate speech, but it is certainly factually wrong.

Texas Supreme Court Temporarily Halts Court-Approved Abortion
SkyDekker replied to David Wang's topic in Speakers Corner
I have a hard time believing that a hospital, a doctor, nurses and a mother are going to all agree to take the risk of being jailed or financially ruined for years to try and win in front of the SC. -
Texas Supreme Court Temporarily Halts Court-Approved Abortion
SkyDekker replied to David Wang's topic in Speakers Corner
The ruling is actually scarier than that. It states that the decision if an exception is warranted lies with the doctor and the patient. They should then proceed to have the abortion without going to court first. Adjudication will come after the fact. They basically closed the door for future prior-to rulings. Showing again that this abortion "issue" isn't about abortion, but relates to control. -
Big assumption. Just because a MFF threesome takes place doesn't mean the two FFs interact. Just like in many FMM threesomes the MMs don't necessarily interact. Sometimes indicated as FMF and MFM.
