  1. That is because you are sticking your head in the sand and in doing so are condoning sexual assault. Your wife must be so proud of you.
  2. Ah yes he was "only" ruled to be liable for sexual abuse. And then the judge had to come out and say that colloquially that is rape. God forbid this happened to your wife, but could you imagine telling her, honey come on now, you weren't raped, you were just fingered against your will? Do better. Trump is a rapist by how the term is generally used.
  3. Which compares to an increase of 12.4% total new car sales.
  4. Ahhh yes. The issue here might be that your arguments tend to follow this pattern: When I look down the prairies the earth looks flat. (factual) Therefor the earth is flat. (not factual). It is a repeating pattern with you.
  5. You are trying to tie things together, that I don't think have anything to do with each other. I believe Gay should have been fired, or should have resigned a long time ago. I think DEI is good business. Having a diverse workforce is good for business. Having a homogenous workforce is bad for business. Being very anti-DEI can lead to very bad hires. I will paraphrase Mark Cuban here, but one of the most prominent anti-DEI organizations led to the hiring of the following people: Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, John Bolton , John Kelly, Michael Flynn, Rance Preibus, Tom Price, Mark Esper, Anthony Scaramucci, Bill Barr, Mark Milley, Jim Mattis, Mick Mulvaney, Sean Spicer, Dan Coats, Ryan Zinke, David Shulkin, Don McGahn, Scott Pruitt , HR McMaster, Ty Cobb , Paul Manafort, Rudy Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark Many of those hires were so bad they have turned into memes, jokes, criminals or general laughing stock.
  6. Trump has a long history of arguing both sides of an argument, depending on which one benefits him at the time. President being, or not being an officer of the United States is another example of this.
  7. Pretty sure the information provided at the time was based on a bad source and torture, but they will argue it wasn't knowingly false, even if brought to court. Obama has a DOJ opinion that was documented prior to his decision that calls the strike likely legal. Hard to bring a criminal case under those circumstances. There isn't really a "Pandora's box" that would be opened. While I am not sure what the court will rule, I am pretty sure Trump will lose by 3-0. I think en banc will be denied. I think whether SCOTUS grants cert will really depend on whether there is consensus among the 3 judges.
  8. Rush made a similar comment just after 1998. The result was so embarrassing for him he hasn't been seen since.
  9. I am not sure that showing a graph indicating 2023-2024 is below the 1981-2010 median, below the IQR and at the bottom end of IDR is really supporting your position.
  10. Which is what I said, difference is average Republican voter is stupid. Works pretty well for me.
  11. Except libs don't want to freeze in the dark nor does a decent size group of libs say they want to freeze in the dark. So no, not like that at all.
  12. which is stupid which is stupid which is stupid and you would have to be stupid to believe it.
  13. Assuming voters follow the general distribution of the populace, that simply cannot be true.
  14. yup. As a prediction, I think the Supreme Court will rule in such a way that they don't have to touch on any of the substantive issues. So more in line with: primary races are help by private companies and therefor the Colorado Supreme Court ruling doesn't apply. Setting it all back up for another round if/when Trump is the actual candidate.
  15. The real takeaway here is that the average Republican voter is stupid.
  16. Rivian has quite the pickup...in case you want a $100,000 electric option for the DZ...I know how much money you DZ operators make!
  17. Yes. And exactly how does that prove that "Florida is taking the amendment to court" is entirely true? My argument was that the Supreme Court of Florida is automatically involved in this process. Your link doesn't prove otherwise.
  18. I am going off a CNN interview with the lady running the organization behind the petition. But these articles refer to it as well: https://floridaphoenix.com/2024/01/05/abortion-rights-amendment-one-step-closer-to-the-fl-ballot-but-must-get-supreme-court-approval/ https://www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/arguments-set-for-february-on-florida-abortion-measure/
  19. Don't think that is entirely correct. As part of this process the Florida Supreme Court as to approve the text of the amendment and Florida AG has indicated they do not agree with the text in its current form.
  20. Same argument for religion really.
  21. This idea that products can only be good if they are perfect for every possibly solution is so stupid.
  22. Except that isn't what I said. Plus having to go back 100 years pretty much proves the point that it hasn't always been that way.... Unless you have family to live with this is now functionally impossible in major Canadian cities. Minimum wage in Ontario is $16.55 per hour. Average rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in Toronto is $2,900 per month. $16.55 per hour is $2,868 per month GROSS on a full time basis. Average rent for a 2 bedroom is $3,400, so not helping much if you can find a room mate. Plus vacancy is so low that people are paying a full year's rent up front to try and "win" a place.
  23. Actually, that is the part that has been changing. Tesla has been offering steep discounts to combat this, reducing their margin significantly. Tesla's profit margin is now very much in line with other auto makers.
  24. No, that hasn't always been true. Housing affordability measured against income is at pretty much all time highs. Health care waiting lists and availability is at pretty much the worst position it has ever been. Even the government has realized i and has reduced targets for this year and future years. Family doctors are almost impossible to find and emergency rooms have had to close. People are dying waiting for cancer treatment. At BC's Children's hospital in Vancouver has recently seen wait time in the Emergency Room of 10 hours to be triaged and 10 hours to be seen by a doctor. So 20 hours in total. So no, it hasn't always been like that, not even close.
  25. The model T wasn't groundbreaking at all, just look at what Ford's market share is now compared to then....pff.
