  1. I don't particular see it getting better either. And I see opposition growing and with it the demonization of immigrants and with it a rising comfort in treating them like dogs. I understand there is no easy answer. But choosing to treat people humanely is a minimum we should strive for.
  2. Set up proper facilities. Process quickly. Provide attainable alternatives to illegal migration. Help countries prosper. Just a few options there. But basically, be a decent human being. Weird you have to ask.
  3. Dropping migrants somewhere is simply humane? Under your logic the cartels smuggling them across the border are humane organizations as well. They are helping migrants reach their final destination after all. At least have the balls to admit you get pleasure out of seeing brown people suffer. There are indeed humane ways of dealing with this, the US is doing very little of that. The poor brown people at the border are nothing but political pawns in your Right vs Left binary world.
  4. Was a great way for Turner, in his allegiance to Trump, to notify the Russians this information was being looked at....without having to leak anything at all.
  5. When I live my truth, there is no math.
  6. Ahh according to the Governor's office..... Regardless, using human beings at their most powerless as human pawns in a political game is wrong. I don't care who does it. And somebody coming on here using this as some opportunity of a glib "gotcha moment" says more about their character than anything else.
  7. My understanding and recollection is that people on those busses did not know where they were heading and were led unto the bus under false pretense. That does appear to be different from the Denver situation.
  8. One description I heard, that I thought was rather apt, was that SCOTUS was more concerned about the risk of allowing states to exclude a candidate than the risk of allowing this candidate.
  9. Probably was too glib at the time, but not wrong unfortunately. I think there is a lot at stake this election and not just for the US.
  10. I think the SCOTUS hearing was always going to be about how to find the most expedient off-ramp.
  11. They can. However the way the ruling is written is that a request for en banc hearing would not delay release of the mandate. In other words, the simple request wouldn't change anything. However a petition for cert would delay release of mandate.
  12. Because profitable future growth of the NHL is not in Canada.
  13. Interesting comment, considering there is more than one post from you explaining how the Muslim faith is inherently evil because the writings in the Koran are bad.
  14. Second case, which timeline wise is really the first case, has larger damages because his reach as President was that much greater, and with it the damages for defamation are that much greater.
  15. I am still trying to figure why people have no problems with cheerleaders being featured during the football game but are upset when a successful woman is being featured during that same football game. /s
  16. Friend of mine owns a fully loaded 2023 and let me take it from Vancouver to Whistler on a recent ski trip. What a beauty of a car.
  17. So the best selling car in the world is electric and is going to grow sales by 16% in 2024 and you present that as evidence of the imminent demise of electric cars? That MBA really paid off.
  18. And that 5M came out of a transfer of around $55M from Trump Org which the court appointed monitor wasn't told about. The remaining $50M might be tight to an undisclosed loan between Trump and an LLC without any reported value which is probably being used to avoid paying personal taxes. Which would be illegal. I will never understand who Republicans have hitched their wagon to a con artist.
  19. Thank you for proving Trump is indeed one of the worst leaders one could find.
  20. And for an appeal I am pretty sure he has to put up a bond for the $83.3 million.
  21. Nothing too fancy; Audi S5, but I like it. Smile on my face every morning. The dog's car is a Honda Fit.
  22. Maybe. I love my car, puts a smile on my face every morning when I start it up. So I can understand people wanting to spend money for a car that they enjoy. The dog's car on the other hand is just utilitarian.
  23. True. However, I also have a feeling Oppenheimer didn't think what he was working on would power a cellphone either. We always seem to think we are at the end of an improvement cycle.
