  1. Flysight is now the only recognised device for speed skydiving. If you wanna know how fast your going, GPS is the only way.

  5. In Australia, where handy cam is predominantly used, tandem passengers are classed as students, and therefore are not allowed to wear a camera at all Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  6. I mounted mine above the vent like on cookie's website and drilled a whole through the vent so the microphone jack can fit through. I've had no reception issues with it. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  7. Look on Cookie's website where they suggest mounting it on the G3. That is where I have mine and never have had any problems Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  8. This is Putz (aka Cameron Jarrett) flying one this weekend. This is the 90 or 84, can't remember which one. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...

  12. I haven't used my flysight in awhile, and i want to start using the flysight again. I have upgraded my pc to windows 7 and recently bought a windows 8 laptop. Both machines will charge the flysight, but none of them can access the flysight so that i can see logs or change settings. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Edit to add: Fixed, looks like it might have been a dodgy usb cable Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  13. Wifey made the sign because he mentioned skydiving again. I dont think he has a chance in hell, but hey, thought id help im as much as i can. Edit: grammar Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  14. Ok, so Matthew Sexton had a accident last weekend when he turned to avoid a helicopter parked on the ground. He is a relatively new jumper and basically just screwed up. His wife wants him to quit, unless you can help. Like this photo, share this photo, lets get him back in the air! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10202179406060701&set=a.1756586828557.96769.1055560286&type=1&theater Thanks in advance for your support. 15. Same PC, Longer bridle Edit to add: To be more specific, I went to my rigger and asked for a new 9ft bridle, on the same PC Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  16. Easy to say to require coaching etc. I was on the same dz with Ian, I did the same shit when we knew no one was looking, and to be honest, back then, there was no such thing as coaching canopy piloting, it was all trial by error. Closest dz to ours was more than 600 miles away. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  17. Unpowered caravan site. Edit: Forgot to add: Oh and yes, it is an awesome place to jump. About september ish time, you can see the schools of whales passing the coast line. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  18. I have found that if you point your legs in the direction you want to turn, you have a much bigger effect than just burying your hip... Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  19. Got and audible in each ear, flysight on the back of the helmet. I found the motorcycle speakers crap, couldnt hear them in freefall. Used dirt cheap inner ear headphones, in padding (both) next to one ear (not in my ear) to hear my flysight. Works great! Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  20. FWIW I've heard of people flipping through their risers from full flight deployments.... If you look at the video that Arviotus posted, you can see he is not far off from that. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  21. What piifish said, a lot of dzs close around october-november, but if you are going to be in London, look up London Skydivers on facebook or yahoo groups, they meet up every 4th Thursday of the month, and is usually a good place to meet fellow skydivers for beer and meet people for carpools. Edit to rephrase: close sometime around oct-nov and reopen around feb Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  22. Got a 135 loaded at 1.6. I got a bigger slider when i was doing camera jumps. You can almost throw it in the bag and it will open (i do flake stabilizers, and do nothing to the nose on every jump, WS or not). Ive pulled in full flight and while collapsed, its a very easy canopy for wingsuiting. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  23. so which is better for general wingsuiting? Stealth or Ghost? I have no plans of upgrading my suit just yet, but out of curiosity, id like to know. I do a lot of flocking. And when i do solos i usually go for max airtime. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  24. I stick mine in my suit pocket, been thinking on how to mount it on my liquid flatlock :) Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
