  6. This is what happened in the beginning. But i did realize it early enough to stop it. Yes. But the answer above is based on the fact that my drills in the beginning where done with a analogue alti. I have a VISO now. I try to keep it as consistent as possible. Finally i would just like to add that in (my very little) experience i have had in swooping. No matter how consistent you try and keep things, there are almost always outside variables that you have no, or very little, control over that can drastically change the outcome of your planned approach. And the skill in swooping/landing comes from recognizing them as/before they happen and adapting to them. Edit to add: Sorry if this is side tracking the thread a bit, i just felt that i does somehow relate a bit. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  7. Dude, buy the suit for what you are doing now. When you want to start camera, you can always buy a second hand camera suit (i bought my first camera suit for about a fifth of the price of a new one, and jumped it for a year). By the way, I have a FS suit, camera suit, and 2 freefly suits. No matter what, you will be getting more suits as you carry on skydiving (and keeping them). Its almost like buying clothes. It just happens as neccesary. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  8. I am in the begin stages of swooping, and i have been doing 90s after about the 4th of 5th jump of the weekend. And i gotta say, that sometimes when i get 45 ot 60 degrees i will stop the turn and just land in the direction im going, What im saying is that i will rather bail out high, than thinking "fuck i'm low" and bury my brakes hoping to not smack the ground. Funny enough, some of the times i have stopped the turn, has resulted in some really nice swoops. Some dream of flying, i live the dream...

  10. I would say my favourite way to exit a plane is out the door! Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  11. I jump a Sabre1 135. My comments are based on my experience, on a canopy with line trim that is in spec. Maybe if you need more than 2 inches, your should consider having your line trim looked at... Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  12. I almost guarantee that you will not need more than 2 inches max, Whatever you think, you can quarter, I had my brakes lenghtened recently, because my canopy was buffeting when i pulled on my front risers, I asked the rigger for 4 inches more, and he lenthened it by 2 inches, and i could not get to the bottom of my flare, I had to have it shortened by another inch before i could fly it properly. Just something to think about... Some dream of flying, i live the dream...
  13. I love English Bulldogs and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. I have never had a Bulldog, but love the way they look. I have had 3 Staffies, and love them to bits! Some dream of flying, i live the dream...

  16. I agree and that may be true to some degree, but I also know of a few people who died after canopy incidents because of swelling on the brain. Do I think the helmet is going to prevent that happening 100%, no - but I definitely believe it ups my chances in that scenario so I see no reason not to wear something impact rated. Also, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than a skydiving helmet (60 bucks) but if you're doing anything other than hop n pops its not a practical helmet. Blues, Ian Just for the record: I believe that the only reason i survived in 99 after my canopy collapsed in zhills was cause i was wearing a factory diver. Now it need not be a factory diver, but i seriously think that EVERYONE should be wearing head protection no matter what they are doing in skydiving.
