  1. Will Packin' Cathy's people be there, or some other group of motivated packers (for lazy people like meself)? ... Marion
  2. Excellent, thanks. I will be there. ... Marion
  3. Maybe I just missed the post. Will there be a Flock n Dock this year? I had thought there would be one in April but haven't seen anything posted here yet. ?? ... Marion
  4. Amen ! I have experienced two examples of over-the-top great customer service that I have posted about. Let's continue to reward this by giving them our business. ... Marion
  5. Reminder: If you are on the Friday the 13th High Altitude Wingsuit Jump don't forget to email Viviana and let her know that you want to reserve a slot on that load. Her email address is: [email protected] ... Marion
  6. I bought my Dolphin new in 2005. The only modification I needed to make was to add the tuck tab to the bottom of the reserve pin flap. I have over 180 freefly jumps with it and feel perfectly safe. People like to bash the Dolphin for some reason, not sure why, but I have had great success with mine. ... Marion
  7. In this particular case we will have the altitude... 21,000 feet... I think arm strength could be an issue, for me anyway. ... Marion
  8. ... me too. I still haven't gotten three ! I don't think I have the strength for five minutes anyway ! ... Marion

  10. 1) Change the Data Recording from "Smart Recording" to the "Every Second" option (Settings...General... Data Recording). It will use up your batter a LOT faster when it is in that mode, so don't power it on until a few minutes before boarding the plane. 2) Press Start right before exiting the plane. When you land press the Stop button and then hold the Lap button down for 3 seconds to save to history. That is all you need to do. Information from that and other timed events are saved separately. When you upload somewhere, you can upload everything that is in your Forerunner history and delete the ones you don't want, or clear your history of all except the skydiving event and then upload. ... 11. Congratulations to all. Thanks to Jeff and the others for putting it together. I am one of the wingsuit flyers who was not able to participate. I read every post, looked at every picture and wished I was there. I was pulling for you guys, and was thrilled when you accomplished it. I was really glad to hear in Jeff's recent interview on Skydive Radio that another record would be attempted again, at Elsinore in November 2009. Will the February 2009 boogie in Puerto Rico be an opportunity to be qualified for the '09 attempt? ... Marion
  12. I have a 305 and have jumped with it from the King Air. I never lost the signal and it seemed to do a good job. I don't use paralog and can't comment on that, but I did upload the data to www.trackingderby.com and the results looked right. On the 305 (and probably the 405) you can change the settings from the "smart recording" option to the "every second" option. ... Marion
  13. good lord... if this keeps up maybe we can beat the 71-way record ... Marion

  23. I plan to visit Emerald Coast Skydiving sometime this weekend. Are there many people flying wingsuits there? ... Marion
  24. You could let a packer do it just for the first 100 jumps or so, until it is not so new. That's what I did when I got a new canopy... and then after that I thought of other excuses not to pack. ... Marion
