  1. He mouths it and bites it ...but does he swallow???? ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  2. Yep. That about sums it up for me. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  3. He broke the law, and in trying to bring him to justice, so did we. The nature of the infractions were *dramatically* different, but when one is taking an action intended to reinforce the concept of "Our laws will be obeyed!", one really ought to obey those laws. Blues, Dave You're wasting your time. The concept is beyond his capacity to comprehend. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  4. Right. A Mexican enters Texas illegally, and murders two teenage American girls. He then demands that he be treated according to Mexican law? I don't fucking think so. He did the crimes in Texas. He can pay the Texas price for those crimes. If he wants Mexican justice, he should have stayed in Mexico. I think he wanted the justice the USA agreed to when it signed the 1963 Consular Convention. I think the girls wanted the justice of NOT BEING RAPED, AND BEING ALLOWED TO GO ON LIVING. Why is it that you cry for this piece fucking rotting shit, but not for the girls? Again, who fuckin' really cares that he didn't get "consular counsel"?! HE GOT AN OTHERWISE FAIR TRIAL, JUST LIKE ANYONE NATIVE TO THIS COUNTRY WOULD GET. TOUGH SHIT if he didn't get some stupid-ass IRRELEVANT technicality! I would LOVE it if you were obligated to make this bullshit case you are making to the parents of the girls. I don't cry for those scumbags. I do have a bit of frustration and anger for those too small minded to understand the critical importance of those technicalities. I cry for my country crapping on the BOR and the rule of law. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  5. I used these guys once ...totally satisfied. No court appearance, no fine, no points, no traffic school. http://www.theticketclinic.com/ticket-more.html ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  6. Buying a new car is a luxury. Taking a vacation is a luxury. Building your dream house is a luxury. Going to Disney World is a luxury. Landscaping your lawn is a luxury. Buying new kitchen appliances is a luxury. Buying new shoes/clothes is a luxury. Building a new BBQ pit is a luxury. These are all things I've heard people (this week) say they decided to NOT do due to money being tight. The ripple effect of people not spending this money is affecting many other people who will not spend money they don't have either. I think it's a pretty good indicator of what's happening overall. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  7. I'm supposing that whatever perceptual adaptation you employ to view yourself somewhere near the middle of political thought, allows you to view yourself as ...witty and amusng? Handy device, that. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  8. That would be the expected perception from an extreme right winger like yourself, who actually claims to be centrist. Please, DO annotate all those EXTREME right views I espouse....please. It's more of a lifetime achievement award. Do you really see yourself as anywhere NEAR the middle ...really? seriously?!?!?!? WOW! So prove it. I've never tried to pawn myself off as a centrist - as I've said over and over, my views most closely match the libertarians. Of course, seeing some of the hardcore leftists on this sight that consider themselves centrist, I'm not surprised that you're confused. Of the two "main" parties, the libertarian views mesh better with the Republicans than with the Democrats. "O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us To see oursels as others see us! It wad frae mony a blunder free us, An' foolish notion! What airs in dress an' gait wad lea'e us, And ev'n devotion!" Whatever gets you through the night, man. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

  12. I wonder if I'm going to land on that airplane ....WHAM! ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  13. I suspect the numbers would be drastically less if you only counted sex outside the immediate family. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  14. On the flip side of that, asking your doctor / nurse about what treatment you need runs you into the same issues as asking your mechanic what kind of work needs to be done on your car. Doctors & nurses face incentives to recommend care above and beyond what is appropriate because it means more pay & prestige for them. Case in point, extreme measures for the terminally ill are famously overprescribed in the US resulting in significant expense at little patient benefit. Rising incidence of C-sections instead of vaginal delivery, etc. In terms of optimizing cost/benefit we're better off not putting decisions in the hands of doctors. WTH?!?!? What possible incentive do nurses have to recommend more care???????? ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  15. My highlighting his words Dam fucking clear to me. Not you? Moron is probably incorrect. "Moron was originally a scientific term, coined around 1912 by psychologist Henry Goddard from a Greek word meaning "dull" or "foolish", and used on the English version of the "Binet Scale" of human intelligence. The Binet Scale was developed in the early 1900's by Alfred Binet, a French psychologist and inventor of the first usable intelligence test, the basis of today's IQ test. The Binet Scale went approximately as follows: Normal ----- IQ 85-115 Deficient ---- IQ 71-84 Moron ------ IQ 51-70 Imbecile ---- IQ 26-50 Idiot -------- IQ 0-25" In reading your posts, I think Deficient would more likely be the appropriate classification, which groups you with roughly 45 million (15%) other Americans ...or as the neocon leaders refer to it "our base". People in this classification are well suited for tasks such as Laborers; Gardeners; Upholsterers; Farmhands; Miners; Factory Packers and Sorters. One would normally expect people in this classification to be quite literal in interpretation of simple data, ignoring items which conflict with their original conclusion. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  16. You seem to have missed her vital piece of advice If you feel you WILL pull that trigger to protect your life if threaqtened then proceed. If you dont think you can pull a trigger and end another persons life.. no matter how much of a nutcase they are.. then do not get a weapon. Many believe they have the will to pull the trigger. A large percentage of them are mistaken. If I point my weapon at someone, it's with the intent of killing them ...not to scare them, get them to back down or leave. Three in center mass and more if they so much as twitch after that. If you can't do that, pass on the gun. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  17. Well, that and the loss of income by insurance companies and firm opposition by those in the medical profession who fear loss of profit and status. They have most of the pie and they want to keep it. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

  21. Given the socio-legal status of women in Texas, unfortunately so. Cite. Some time back I posted at length about the evolution of the legal system in Texas and it's continuing impact on women. If you are really interested ...look it up. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  22. I can tell you. Amazon is incorrect! I own an enviromental company in Texas, and we have some of the most stringent laws in the US dealing with the enviroment. She should fact check before typing blindly as normal. Then please explain the horrible pollution ratings (even compared to densely populated, heavily industrialized states) for Texas across just about any category you care to choose. http://www.scorecard.org/ranking/ Not directed at you, but ... If they had a category for "Emmision of dumbfuck backward assed world views", would Texas have another Number 1 ranking? ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  23. Will it give an accurate HR while you are running or just when you stop to check? ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

  25. Maybe for the same reason(s) you veiw Obama as a qualified canidate for Pres?? A most moving speech. I have hope that Obama is our best chance to unite our own country and our country with the rest of the world. Compared to what we've had, a real breath of fresh air. Of course, there are those so bent, bitter and biased, they simply won't join with any such cause. We've had far too much 'decider'. It's time for a 'uniter'. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
