some skydiver friends and i are climbing mt adams in washington state around the 14th or 15th of june. all skydivers are welcome to meet us up there. the climb can be done in a day, but since most people will be comming from sea level, we are going to split it up into several days. no special equipment will be needed aside from overnight backpacking equipment. we will spend the first night at the trail head at 5600'. the next day we will make our way up to about 9000' and once again set up camp. day 3 will be summit day. since we will be spending that night at 9000' again, people can take their time and either get an early start or sleep in a little. the last day we will return to the trail head. the reason for such a slow ascent is that i think it will make the trip much more enjoyable for those of us who spend most of out time at sea level.
