Not a good week- but it could have been much worse. Started off w/ barbecues on Sunday and Monday. Then my brother came in from California for 4 job interviews. The only thing he wanted Thursday night- NJ Pizza. Well, after 4 interviews by Friday- and 2 job offers- he signed the dotted line and will be moving back across country in August. So we kinda celebrated lastnight- big barbecue: corn on the cob, hot dogs, kielbasa, baked beans, and strawberry tarts for dessert. And ya know what, after all that I was REAL worried. Hopped on the scale and was pleasantly surprised: Current Weight: 287.2 Gain this week: 2 I'm not happy by any means that I put back on weight, but after this week, I was expecting an increase of 5. So I'll take my 2, and work that much harder this wekk to lose the 2 and then some. Sorry for the long post- MY BROTHER IS MOVING BACK TO JERSEY!!!!!!!!! My wife used to work at a restaraunt with an Egyptian cook. He was taking a 3 week trip to Egypt (leaving the restaraunt in my wife's hands) so I figured I'd ask him to bring me back an Egyptian Hookah. He did. You're right- weight does play a factor in how much alcohol it will take to raise your BAC. But even for a 190 poun person- drinking an entire bottle of alcohol is not using common sense. I disagree. This does not make the argument for prohibition. This makes the argument for common sense. Do you have any idea how much alcohol you would need to drink to get a BAC of .4 or higher? From being in High School Marching and Concert Band, I have a rather wide taste in music. Here's a few to give you an idea: Andrea Boccelli (sp?) Beethoven/Bach/Mozart Bon Jovi U2 Ministry Drowning Pool Godsmack You get the idea- I like very little country (maybe a song or 2) and pretty much hate gospel (no offense to anyone who likes it). As a matter of fact, she qualified 4th and starts on the second row. So apparently, there are 3 guys out there, that are heavier than she is, and can outdrive her. It makes absolutley no sense to do so. I was talking to my buddy today about this forum, and he just started laughing. I asked him what he was laughing about, and he explained to me that he has absolutley NO idea of where his Black heritage is from. He knows that he is part Indian and Italian, but no idea, where in his roots, the Black comes from. Honestly, I don;t believe that there would be a pressure wave in front of a semi- and even if there was, it would be so small that I don;t think it would have an effect. Now drafting is a whole nother ball game- I drafted behind a semi on 195 doing 75 mph. Its wierd when you finally get into the drafting zone and you feel the car being pulled. But my problem with that theory is this- What if you are Black, and your heritage is not African????? A friend of mine from work is Black- not African. So he checks Other on the forms. In America you need to remember, that not all BLACKS came from Africa- not all BLACKS need to remind themselves of a time when they were Kings, Doctors, etc... Not all BLACKS trace thie lineage to a time of slavery in the US. Some BLACKS, are just that- BLACK. You have a Costco near you? We have pretty good laptops at a good price- but we have a 6 month return policy on computers. So if anything goes wrong in the first six months- bring it back with the reciept and get a full refund. (But you didn;t here that from me).
