Do any of you Ohio jumpers know if CSPC aka Parkman/Garettsville has closed its doors? I started jumping there on my 16th birthday in 76 and has always considered it my home DZ ,no matter where in the world I'm at. -
I jump at SDD also and got that (cry for help) E-mail. I'm guessing that he may have got ahold of Conference area mailing list from USPA

Have you ever spat under canopy?
racerman replied to KermieCorleone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yeah, but it tends to mess up my visor -
You've got a lazy letter carrier! We can leave a notice in your box stating your mail is being held or leave it in the office. I'm a City Carrier and we really hate bringing back mail, it means we have to re-deliver it the next day. And depending on mail volume it can get pretty heavy. Since size does matter in this case, something you have no control over, I suggest talking calmly to your carrier or get a P.O. box

The tab on my Freezr broke off in the plane and that was all she wrote. It wouldn't stay closed, opening in freefall. It's hard to fly while you're holding your visor closed so you don't loose your glasses!! Love the helmet though, just fix the visor problem especially when a new visor costs $95.00

There were several in Ohio that I can remember: Greene County SPC in Grove a DZ at Millersburg airport and a DZ located next to a set of railroad tracks that was nothing more than a shack on some farmers field. The exact location escapes me but it was in northern Ohio

Both of my friends did it on the way to altitude in a C-180. I held a US Flag patch both times while the oath was given. Good Luck, and from one vet to another...THANKS!!!!! -
Any suggestions for a full face helmet I can wear with my percription glasses? The Freezr from Paratech fit great but I can no longer get replacement lenses.

Try a Firebolt from Jumpshack. Give Nancy a call/email and tell her what you're looking for. -

Old Photo--Southwest Airlines near miss

I deliver mail to his business and happened to see the picture on his office wall and started talking about jumping. He said that was taken during a demo jump in Dallas and he was in it. Go figure!? -

Just saw your post, Pegasus flies only one c-182 and uses antiquated student gear. The high tension power lines split the runway and landing area and are no big deal. It has a old time atmosphere and if you're experienced not a bad place to jump. Skydive Dallas, if you have the money, is the best place to go for altitude, experience, and TURBINES!!

How old were you when you started skydiving?

My first jump was a birthday present to myself on my 16th birthday. It was something I've always wanted to do ever since I could remember. I've been jumping ever since! -
I made my first jump on my 16th birthday way back in 76. Of course I had to have my parents permission at the time but had no trouble getting it as I was a permanent fixture at the DZ since I was 7. And no, neither one of them has ever jumped!

Just go and do it! I hadn't jumped in 10 years and in all that time I never stopped looking up at the sky wondering why I stopped. I couldn't come up with a good reason so I went to the local dropzone with my logbook and took the FJC. That was three years ago and even with the passing of two friends I haven't regretted it!!!!!! Remember, Always answer yourself it freefall!

No, but you'd stay fresh for weeks!!
